I recently started a new party to try out a bunch of mods i installed, but now i have no idea who my last pparty member shall be?

    I have:
PC CN Female Assassin (backstabbing and snares)
Jaheira (Tank and healing, Insect swarm!)
Jan Jansen (lock picking, trap disarming, backup mage)
    Kelsey (Primary spellcaster)
    Minsc (tank)

I just can't think of a last one to twack in... I might go for Solaufein, but i heard so many difficult battles followed him, so i'm not sure...
Do you guys have any brilliant ideas?

    Keldorn.

He is an excellent tank and can blow through many mage protections, plus you'll be able to use the Carsomyr.

Get the Gauntlets of Dex ASAP though.

Valygar is pretty good. Dual wield two katanas, celestial fury and hindo's doom later, and he rocks.

I would recommend either Keldorn or Anomen. They both can tank, and as it now stands, you don't have anyone who can cast cleric spells (druids don't have the exact same spell list as clerics). Valygar is decent, but with an assassin in the party, there's nothing Valygar brings to the table that your assassin wouldn't be able to do.

As you are Chaotic Neutral, some of your decisions can affect either Anomen or Keldorn's reactions. Try Minsc if you just want a tank or take one of the first two if you need some extra abilities.

If you pick Anomen you don't need to worry about the CN thing because if you take the less noble path on his quest, he'll turn CN, and problem solved.

Keldorn is an amazing tank, but there's the alignment issue and Anomen has the casting advantage.

    All right, thanks guys!

I'll try out Anomen then! I've tried Keldorn once before, but i've never tried Anomen.

    But what is Hindos doom?

That is a katana from TOB. Can't talk about it in this forum.

Except fight, use two handed weapons, have the ability to cast Protective spells on himself, and He's great with a spear, especially if you give him the improved Impaler from the item upgrade mod.

Just one tank? What are you thinking??  You're party will get slaughtered!! :p :p

That might be exaggerating a bit, but seriously, you will have loads of trouble holding them off AND keeping poor Minsc alive at the same time!!

I would strongly recommend you make your last party member Keldorn if you want a good party and Korgan if you wanted an evil one. These guys can tank like ANYTHING and with time, you won't even need to cast spells or backstab or set snares...they will decimate the enemy ranks in the blink of an eye!!  Or close to...

The point is, pick Keldorn probably, he can use Carsomyr as well...that is a HUGE boost especially in mage battles...(Irenicus comes to mind.)

Yeah, i will take Keldorn, most definitely!
I tried Anomen a little, had a few conversations with people, and he turns out to be an, *no offense* complete *******. Geez, i hate him already... :bang:

Indeed, that is most people's reaction to Anomen.

I guess Jaheira will be memorizing a lot of healing spells.

You're chaotic neutral, so taking evil people shouldn't be a problem. Korgan is a better tank than Keldorn so why not take him?

Rastor has a point actually. Looking at your party, Korgan is going to be better. He has more hitpoints, has grandmastery in axes (whereas Keldorn can only specialize) and a beserk ability that pretty much makes him immune to all the particularly nasty spell affects or alterations that can hit you during a battle. You miss out on Carsomyr, but there are good axes in the game, and the inquisitor's uber-dispel ability is a little over-rated IMO.

Anomen gets less annoying after about 2 weeks game time.

The nickname Annoy-man is appropriate for most people, but I find myself not really minding him too much (again, after about 2 weeks).

His dual-class status allows him to place added proficiency slots into weapons, which is really wonderful. Aside from the actual fighters, paladins and rangers, he's about the best tank you can have.

My first character was a Kensai, and when I dueled him to a mage, having lost my main tank (well, not so much a tank as a friggin' NUKE) as a result, I replaced him with Valgyr for the task of gibbing everything which came into meele range. Everyones favorite cynic stepped up brilliantly, albeit with a little less punch.

Have him duel wield the Celestial Fury and his defauly Katana early in the game and he plows through enemies almost as well as a Kensai.

yeah take keldorn. he is a better tank and is very effective agianst a mage. anomen starts off pretty badly, but his fighting can be improved with the gruntlet of dexterity (you should probably use it on keldorn-he has low dexterity too) and....SLIGHT SPOILER ;)

if anomen gets in the Order of the Radient Heart his wisdom goes up by 4 (i think) which improves him as a cleric.
i think if you get keldorn you should drop jaheira for viconia, but thats just because i personally prefer clerics over druids and jaheira pisses me off :p (plus jaheira really isn't a great fighter-she is only so so)

She's good soon enough because of her ironskins spell. With that and the amulet of power, she's the best to take on Bodhi first encounter.
She's good with the sling, she can strike 1.5 and next 2 times per round.
But I found that the whore costs a lot of money, she needs an expensive girdle of strength and an expensive club + 3.
And I find Korgan, Minsc and probably Keldorn better.
But I suppose it's an old discussion.
