Hello. Live in Roseburg Oregon. Been here before.. for info... but figure now I might need a personal touch, since some instructions (at least for me, are kinda vague... on addins.. and mods.) Could use a bit of help.

Been playing rpg's since the gold box days of the C64.

39 years old. First comp.... Commodore, Pet 2000, with a tape drive... cassette tap..

Grew up with Rpg's. LOVE black Isle. Having a hell of a time with certain things though. Kinda miss the C64 days actually.
Guess I have to do 10 hello's and such before I can be a not spammer though... Thanks for saying hello Silvery. Think I am in good company around here.

It's OK Morgoth, I check this thread about once per week, and seeing as how I'm going to be dealing with this for at least the next six months, and potentially the rest of my life, your comment is still apt, and your sentiments are appreciated.

Good evening, all. I'm a retiree who has been afflicted with the RPG-bug late in life. hehe. My first RPG was P: T, but my computer at the time was no match for the graphics, and when I had to work far from home/computer, I lost track of the game. I can't even describe how happy I am to see the new( normal?) graphics look in the DVD-version I have now.

My thanks to those who take the time to hand-hold lame-assed players like myself. There have been hordes of patient helpers so far.

damn, freitag ist high tag! Cheer up guys. I don't know how about you guys but right now the weather is just great in switzerland and i am gonna drink me to death this friday... some kind of ritual we do here in bern every week-end. and on monday you need a scroll of ressurrection or whatever... guess that problem is known to all countrys in the world ¨

 

Hey all!

I've been a visitor to this website for many years - not too long after Baldur's Gate came out on the market. I want to say that when I first started here, it was probably a few months after this website went up as a resource for all us RPG lovers.

I got into RPG's when I started doing research on a thesis paper on whether or not D&D was as evil and horrible as people were saying it was (had heard horror stories of people believing they were their character and wanted to prove or disprove what was being said). Got hooked on a non-traditional AD&D site - online java chat D&D roleplaying through the old TSRO website. From there, flunked the paper (teacher didn't like me disproving the horror stories lol), didn't like the university, quit school and did other things while enjoying the RPG games that companies were tossing out at us consumers. Baldur's Gate was the first game that really drew me in - Icewind Dale and NWN came next. From there found myself drawn into Guild Wars and then the craze of World of Warcraft. Now I'm back where I enjoy being - playing an RPG that I can sink my teeth into without dealing with trade chat spam and 'barrens chat' (though sometimes the party chatter can get kinda raunchy) with Dragon Age: Origins and the expansion that just came out.

I'm 31 yrs old, a female (gods yes, a GIRL! ), who is finally back in school and thinking of changing my current degree program of computer network security into a liberal arts degree in creative writing. Being editor of the college newspaper has made me realize that writing is a true passion of mine and that I can get mini stories out within the space of a few hours (usually wrote my fictional mid-term and final papers a night or two before they were due because THAT'S when the inspiration and story would explode into my brain).

Ok, I think I wrote enough here. See, I write novels even when I don't mean to! Looking forward to getting to know everyone! And, if things work out, I might even be lucky enough to join up as a news editor for the site.

 

No women allowed! (Other than T2 Bruno, of course.)

So if you would care to re-state your gender, I'll say welcome!
