No romance

    I tried that romance patch. I'm at chapter 3, still when I initiate dialogue with any npc nothing happen. Any advice???

    There are only certain NPCs which can have a romance - Aerie, Viconia and Jaheira if your main char is male, and Anomen if your main char is female. If you dont have any of these NPCs in your party that's why no romances. Also, I may be wrong, but I think dwarfs and half-orcs can't half romances. Either that or your game is bug ridden.

    you don't NEED the romance patch to get some.
    just play the game normally, and eventually some charachter (depending on your sex) will start talking to you, probably going on about their problems and other bullshit. sometimes they'll start asking about your history. anywho, just answer politely and later on "romantically" and the romance will grow. the npcs initiate the romance, not you.
    if you ask me, the whole thing is useless and annoying. i'd kill any (game)romance before it starts.

    I know what you mean. I am playing with a female character. So I thought it would be something to have a dual relationship with other female characters. But all that happened was that Anomen(pompus prick) started babbling.

    Unlike in Torment, you don't initiate the romances with the NPCs. they talk to you. Something like every 30 minutes to 2 hours between each conversation (depending on the person). In fact, you can't start a conversation with ANY of your NPCs

    Yeah, I thought the romance was entertaining at first, but then I got a bit pissed. Aerie and Jaheira were at each others throats. Catfights...

    [​IMG] I used the romance patch early in the game.. before chapter 2, and got Amoeon as soon as i got to the copper coronet(sp?) because i am a female character. My romance is now gone to the sleeping together point *blush*.

    I believe the patch has to be used at the beginning of the game or u have to start a new one for it to work.
