[IMG] I seem to have picked up quite a lot of spells so far in the game, and I really don't know what to do with them. My mages etc. that can cast spells, have no free slots, so unless I'm missing something, do I just hang on to them till they have used what spells they have, and then they can use the new ones? If so, how do I 'give'them the new spells I picked up?

I was thinking of posting a similar question. There are so many spells in BGII my head whirls. :rolling:
You can delete a spell that is memorized and replace it with another. Rest to memorize.

There is a link on SP to "Best Mage & Priest Spells Reference". You'll also get plenty of ideas here about which spells you'll need.

I'm not sure what you mean by "how do I 'give' them the new spells". Put them in their book by having them read them. Then when they have a free slot just click on the spell you want memorized.

That's the main problem I have, getting them out of Jaheirs's inventory and into her book, as they are not available to be 'read'.

Jaheira is the only spell caster in my party at the moment, as I'm in Athkatla and the wizard dudes have taken Imoen away.

Jaheira is a Druid spell caster. Druids don't use scrolls to learn spells. Guess Mother Nature gives 'em to her.
Save your scrolls for when you pick up a Mage.

Actually, not if you only have SOA installed.

Anyway, I run into the same problem. I always seem to have an abundance of scrolls that I save for a rainy day that never comes.

Only mages and bards can learn spells from scrolls.
Clerics, druids, paladins, rangers and sorcerers automatically learn spells.
Actually there are few spell scrolls that these casters can use. No wonder they seem to be piling up for you.
You cant erase (arcane) spells from your spell book if you only have SoA installed.

Pick up Jan from the government district and make him learn the spells from the scrolls. You will be in for a pleasent surprise ;)

Or just take a sorcerer, then you can forget about mucking around with most of the scrolls completely.

You could also consider selling the ones you don´t need. I usually do.

I generally sell off most of them. I normally keep back the really good offensive ones, in case my mage has need of more magic missiles etc. The rest is just gold in my pocket.

I too sell most of them, except for some offensive spells and I always carry one Stone to Flesh scroll. Not that I ever use it, but you never know ;)

Yeah, always have a couple of them. Also, I always make sure I have a few restoration scrolls. Those are really helpful to have at times too.

I also carry a few Protection Scrolls around, like Protection from Electricity.

I don't like waisting spellslots on them, so I usually have some of thos with me as well. I also take 2 scrollcases with me. One for the scrolls I use and one for the scrolls I sell.
