    [IMG] Hello and well met!

I have a neutral good bard character and a full party including Korgan the berserker.

Almost every time at some point of battle Korgran starts to beat my main character.

His AI is on with the script mage killer or whatever. So don't you think it would be logical if he would attack the monsters and not me?

It must be the AI somehow since I am sure I do not command him to attack me ;) Could it have something to do with his berskerk ability?

When someone goes berserk, he usually attacks whoever is nearest. Just run away and hope that he engages an enemy.

this has nothing to do with berserk and everything to do with the script - i have mazzy set on the same script you have korgan on, and she always starts attacking cernd or tashia

maybe someone knows how to fix this

Yes. Don't use scripts. Baldur's Gate is not just a role-playing game but its also a tactical game. I usually just leave Korgan on Standard Attack mode to make sure he keeps killing things, mage or otherwise and I usually keep my spellcasters on ranged attack mode if I don't want them using spells or getting hurt.

i usually just turn the AI off.... it makes it much easier to fight when you have control over every party member 100%.

I agree. AI is just asking for your party to get killed.

The AI is poor in many ways. Try scouting with a hidden thief with the AI left on. As soon as he sees an enemy, he'll attack. I prefer to micromanage my party rather than having them do stupid things.

well, since you are a bard and bards are a type of spellcaster,it is in his script to attack ay spellcasters
    that includes you
also, when he is in berserker mode,he attacks whoever he is nearest

Wierd but Korgan never attacks any nearby party members while berserked in the games I took him (AI turned off).

    Minsc does though.

Yes, there is a bug with this particular script. (Spellcaster Offensive)
The character under this script will attack ANY spellcaster he encounters - friends or no.

AI... You cant be serious. They dont do anything right with scripts. Control them all yourself, that´s what makes BG ffs.

i wrote a simple script for my assassin - he would hide in shadows whenever idle and never attack when in stealth mode

i think once you get too fancy, scripts get a little out of hand

i agree that turning AI off is the way to go - plus the game runs faster!
