Stuck in drow city

This is my second time through the game and the first time I just killed everything, this time through I have done all the quests in the drow city in the Underdark. The last thing that happened and I saved over my only save file and the autosave saved in the exact same spot so I seem to be stuck now, what happened was Phare told me to go kill the priests in the southeast corner and then when I completed it she said there is nothing further she needed from me and just before that quest the ritual was about to begin so I can't leave the city now, and I went into the lich tower and completed that quest and now nothing is happening, I cant find anyone or anything to do, nothing is happening in the ritual area and I can only open the doors if I kill the guards but then I still cant leave the city??? what do I do now???

 

Phare told you? I don't think so. It was some matron or handmaiden outside of the female figthers house. You should still see Phare if you go into the house. Then she looks at whichever eggs you have and the game contimues. You did get the eggs? Did someone give you a second set of fake eggs?

 

your right chas, it was a handmaiden, and I completed what she told me to and when she said that is all that was required for me at the time I then went and did the lich tower, once that was done I tried going back to phare and she isnt there, so then I went to the temple and nothing is happening there either, I never got any eggs at all, and the only way I can seem to get them is if I kill the guards in the temple, then and only then do the doors open, however, the city is still in lockdown, I figured I must have missed something so I went to every single place in the city and talked to everyone at least 5 times as well as trying to pickpocket everyone and still nothing seems to happen, its almost as if, and I'm just guessing here, but it seems like when I did the lich tower it screwed everything up that I was doing before hand and now the ritual and phare are gone, which makes it kinda hard to get outa town.

 

Aha! No you did not miss anything. You must get the real eggs. To do that you do have to kill the 2 guards right next to the chamber doors. Keep your party up close to them so you are out of site of the other guards. They will not attack then. Once you have the real eggs I hope Phare will be back for you.

You do also have to leave the fake eggs in place of the real ones. And if you never killed Sol** something he should have given you another set of fakes to fake Phare with. But you can finish without them. Just a little harder.

 

I tried it and as soon as I step out the door everyone attacks me, I have the eggs but still can't get out now because I was never given any fake eggs... this is frustrating.

 

Hmmmmm. Let me see if I got this straight now. Phare did give you the fake eggs and a key. You did go and swap them and got the real eggs. Then you gave them to Phare? And she said to meet her in the temple. Otherwise you would not know about the ritual. But on the way you ran into the handmaidens quest and was delayed. Then you delayed more by doing the Lich. I am not sure why these two did not happen before she gave you the fake eggs. If the above is right it does sound like you are stuck. I do not know why some of the experts here are not helping. I am definitly not an expert.

The Shadow Keeper program may be able to unstick you. But you will probably have to post on their forums to find out how. There are global variables that could be changed to say you did finish the ritual quest.

You might try posting this question on the TOB forum. This forum seems to get ignored by the old timers who may be able to help. Since they all have TOB plus SOA.

 

yah I think I'm stuck... actually what happened was this: I went to the temple per phare's request, I had already killed the prince so I had the blood to give instead of going on a mission to obtain that or the brains blood... The matron then said the ritual was about to begin and that I had earned a rest, then phare told me to meet her at her quarters, I never got any fake eggs, I am surprised Sol never gave me any now that I know he should have, and I went to phare's room and ran into the handmaiden who sent me on a quest, I finished it and came back to phares room and she wasnt there, I went to the temple and nothing was there either, so I figured I would do the lich tower. Now the gates are sealed and I can't seem to find anything to do, cept steal the real eggs and fight my way out only to find the gates are still sealed. I thank you for your help chas but I think I am trully stuck!!!

 

OK. Yes I think you are stuck. I saw some threads here that said that the Drow city is the one place in the game where time does count. If she said to go right away, then she meant it. Most times you can wait days/weeks whatever before coming back to a quest. Apparently not in the Drow city. I think SK can still help you. But I have no idea how to really use it. I have used it to reassign weapon attributes and that is it.
