3.5 IRC campaign, looking for players!

For my cloistered cleric (Decided, I did), I'm gonna have the Trickery Domain (PHB), and the Domination domain (CD, or maybe CC... SC at any rate) And I'd like to go half elf if we can work out something that makes them not suck like J. Edgar Hoover.

 

Unfortunately I never actually agreed to Cloistered Cleric. In fact, I never really agreed to you both playing. Furthermore, why the hell should I change the rules for Half Elves for you?

Speaking of which...

I'm going to run the campaign with just Uri and 8. Unlucky, GitP guys.

 

I think what he means to say is that rule addendums or adaptations should be the exception, not the trend. So far you've both asked for something to be twisted to your benefit with no explanation why or how your character would or should have those changes, so you don't seem to be quite the type of players for this campaign.

Also I don't think halfelves suck. I rather enjoyed playing one for a long time...

Thanks anyway I suppose. I tend to build up character and backstory at the same time. Having a background in games like l5r, the skills make the character, and should ALL have backstory explanation. Ah well. If you do decide to expand your game a bit more, I'd still really like to get a shot at playing.

 

Ok then... seeing as you appeared in the Gitp room on IRC, talked to me and said that you would think about what I wanted to do on the druid I made the mistake that you were cool with having me in the game. Sorry. I can't find my logs so I can't say if you actually said anything of the sort, so I'm working on memory. I also made the mistake that you were fine with variant rules, seeing as you'd said you'd think about the druid variants as well as allowing a Domain Wizard. Sorry again. Also: I originally posted in this thread on the 7th of October. On the 15th of October I posted my other proposed changes. Then on the 16th, a week and a half after my first post, you said you didn't ok any of us, and didn't want to touch our homebrew. A side note, being from Gitp, we both are used to homebrewing, or at least used to homebrew being accepted. Including that cloistered clerics are typically better than the battle clerics PHB proposes, and that half elves are sub-par. I enjoy roleplaying as much as anyone, and more than quite a few people, but I find that when I'm playing a very weak character with a great background story, it just isn't as fun as a strong character with a great background story. I also have no idea as to your DMing style and assumed the worst, that you would be out to kill your players, and planned accordingly. I also apologize for not sharing the tentative backstory I had worked out in my head that would explain everything. I also was asking permission, not saying "I'm going to play a half elf with all of the good things about humans and elves and none of the bad things and you can't do anything about it."

 

Your assumptions about my DMing style don't interest me.
