I have decided to buy the old editions of these two games. But since they're out of print for eons, the only option is ebay.
The problem is that sometimes second hand items on sale are not as complete as one would have wished for.

So for those who have bought the old big card box version of these games, I would ask them to post a comment here stating what exactly are the box contents.
There was also the 2-in-1 pack release of these two games together, if anyone has this version, please feel free to post a list of the box contents as well.
Ohh and for the manuals, if it isn't too much trouble, could you also mention the number of pages.

    Thanks

I have the 2-in-1 pack. Its contents are:

    - 6 CDs (5 BG - packed in a cardboard thingy, 1 ToSC - in a clear plastic CD sleeve)
    - ToSC reference card
    - double sided poster (the city on one side, part of the sword coast on the other)
    - BG manual, 160 pages
    - ToSC manual, 40 pages (they also counted the covers for some odd reason)

[IMG] You can get the manuals from SP. They're up for the games.

Any particular reason you're going for the old style boxes? Do you know something I don't? :mommy:

I borrowed my friends old BG before getting my own, she had the manual and a sleeve that unravelled for the six discs. The white box was the same with less pretty packaging and an extra disk with the manual and patches on it.

Don't remember packaging for TotSC, friend bought it and another friend gave me hers to use so never looked at it thoroughly.

It's just that feeling of opening up a big box, skimming through the manual, putting the box on a shelf and never opening it again. :spin:
I know it's somewhat silly, but I'd just like to have the original box with its physical manifestations of the game. :myprecious:
