    Hi,

How it is working? I set it in configuration but my thief did not make any sneak attack from rear anf flank, as is said in the manual.

    Thanks

OK, I made some experiment and see that it works with short sword but not with sling.

With which weapons sneak attak works?

Er, by rules, can't a thief make Sneak Attacks with ranged weapons inside 30ft?

IWD isn't a 3E game, so the sneak attack isn't exactly as in 3E.

    And that's why 2E blows.

LMAO. For some reason I always crack up when someone bluntly uses the line.. "it blows".

It doesn't blow Cap'n, it is just antiquated, but appreciated. When it came out though back in the day, the rule set was solid enough for a ton of great gameplay, but didn't cover everything. But that was a pro, not a con, in my book. It allowed for interpretation of the rules and customization in your game. For example, in most of the 2E campaigns I ran, all classes were open to all races.

3E is more rules defined. Also an excellent system in my book. If your group consist of rule-mongers and rule-lawyers, then 3E is probably a better fit, though sertainly not hte only reason to play 3E, but it is setup for a more stream-lined rule-system. If your group is more open to the imagination, to me, 2E was the way to go.

Quite true, Blades. 2 ed was allways alot better for "roleplaying" than 3ed was. 3ed allways struck me as number crunching, and easy to god-mode gaming.

I believe my thief was armed with a short sword for best effect.
