A new edition of something that's priobably been done a lot, but I'm playing it again and want to give some of my ideas:

Aerie: Brittany Snow. She could pull off the cute yet annoying at the same time.

Jaheira: Angelina Jolie. She could pull off the sultry brunette with ease.

Anomen: Jason Statham. He'd need to do something about the baldness factor.

Keldorn: Daniel Craig. He has the maturity, craggy features, and general studliness to do it.

Minsc: George St. Pierre. We'd have to keep the lines to a minimum. Or we could go with a bulked up Viggo Mortenson -- we know he can do Russian accents (Eastern Promises)

    Jan: No fricking clue

Mazzy: I have a friend with the right body type. Can't think of an actress who could do it. Maybe Anne Hathaway? Need someone really short, really flat chested, really athletic, and really charismatic.

Edwin: Robbie Coltrane. He can do the beard, he can do the accent, he can act like nobody's business.

Viconia: This is the toughest one. She'd have to be black, but really dark black. Halle Berry is cute but not Drow, and also too fricking predictable. I'd say a no name actress being given her first big break.

Yoshimo: Daniel Dae Kim, BJ Penn, or Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa.

Sarevok: Mickey Rourke. He has an evil look, he does!

    Jon Irenicus: Robert Carlyle

Haer'Dalis: It'd have to be a musician of some sort who crossed over into acting.

    Thoughts?

The cast doesn't matter so much as that we make certain that the movie is fundamantally changed enough from the game that it alienates the greatest possible number of fans. Maybe we could make Sarevok end up being a good guy, make Irenicus' dungeon a space laboratory, eliminate Minsc altogether, that sort of thing.

Ugh, what is it with men and Angelina Jolie?

Good call on Mickey Rourke though. And Warwick Davis.

And the BG books made me die alittle inside. I wish I can unread them.

    Umm, LKD... no Imoen? ;)

Mind you, she's probably the easiest to cast: who else but Alison Hannigan would fit? OK, maybe whoever played Gabrielle in Xena, but only if AH is unavailable.

James Earl Jones would of made a great voice-over for Sarevok.

I always thought that a Young and better fed Angela Bassett would be a kick ass Viconia!
    She has killer cheek-bones!

Ok if Sarevok is black, then who could play him well? A bulked up Michael Clark Duncan? The guy who played Tyr on Andromeda? The douche from Stargate Atlantis who waspegged to be in the Song of Ice and Fire miniseries? The girl who plays Ames on Human Target would be good for Imoen.

Gabrielle would be perfect! Then I would prefer anybody else before Alison Hannigan (really don't like her).

Michael Clarke Duncan would make a perfect Sarevok, great voice and correct body type. Viconia could be played by Rutina Wesley (from True Blood), definitely better choice than Halle Berry.

    Korgan: Brian Blessed
    Jan/Noober: Pauly Shore
    Bodhi: Kirsten Dunst ?

Just a side note. Drow elves are dark skinned, not african-american humans.

[IMG] They generally have more caucasian features too, but blacking up isn't generally considered PC anymore :p

She looks like she is in her mid 40s though. Viconia looks like she is in her early 20s. Wich is pretty much what she is, in drow-years.

    details!

Anyway I hope they don't make one, it would suck for sure ^^,
besides while storyline was good for game especially the first part it would be bad for a movie.

it would be probably as bad as dungeon siege, well game sucked too but we are talking about
    this level of bad

    but as I see it it do;

    BGI

PC - whoever not to old
Imoen - Emma Watson she can become a kickass mage in 2nd part! / Alison Hannigan
    Jaheira - Kate Beckinsale
    Khalid - Viggo Mortensen
    Minsc - Karl Urban
    Dynaheir - Amber Stevens

Sarevok - LeBron James voiceover of James Earl Jones - sorry can't think of any young 6'2+ black guy
    Elminster -
    Gorion -
    Tazok - Vin Diesel
    Angelo - Sean Penn

then we'd need 2 subs for Dynaheir in 2nd part so
    Edwin -
    Yoshi - then Viconia -
    Bodhi - Helena Bonham Carter
Irenicus - Bill Nighy, Ralph Fiennes would be good too
