IWD2 questions - Final Battle and Solo Question

    What are all of the options for the final battle? I know you can destoy the globes to remove the Glabrezu from the fight. You can make so the pool does not heal Isair and Madae. What else? Can you gain allies? Are there any other actions you can take to make the fight easier? Not that it is needed, just that I am running 2 different games currently and I am nearing the end of the game in one of my runs. I will be entering the Severed Hand next and don't want to miss out on anything.

    My second run through is acutally with a solo Gold Dwarf Pal(1)/Sorcerer(X). I just started this one and was wondering what you guys think are possible stategies for Shaerngraene? Bridge Battle. I have not soloed a Sorcerer or Wizard and was wondering how tough it was going to be.... any suggestions are appreciated.

    There are some allies that you can make. However, they are independant and you can't control them.
    If you cure the monk in the prison cell, him and his followers will help you out in the final battle

    Ah, the monks. Is there anything else you can do to reduce the Twins or their underlings powers or numbers?

    If I'm not mistaken, destroying the globes is actually what stops the pool from healing them. Making a deal with Iyachtu Xvim(sp?) is what removes the demons from the fight with 'em. I'm not sure if you can have both benefits at the same time though.

    Sorry Hamster, not quite right.
    If you do the Illmater ritual you get a vile of stuff to put in the pool. This stops them healing. Destroying the globes stops the demons being immortal. You can then kill them before the battle

    The final battle is in two parts. When the first part is over and Isair and Madae go to the pool, cast protection from petrification on your party before you follow them
