Crash on Spell Memorization

    I can't get past the opening scene because the game only allows me to memorize one or two spells before it quits to the desktop. This happened in SoA, but not nearly as bad. ToB is essentially unplayable as a mage. Does anyone know of a fix for this, I have had no success googling. Btw, I'm on a Mac, which may make a difference. Thanks.

    Yes, I have fully patched. Re-installing helps, but it seems to steadily get worse over time. It is a very confusing issue, since it is so serious (the game literally crashes every two or three times I select a spell) and no one else seems to be having it. I expected the forums to be full of discussion of this issue, but is does not seem to be mentioned anywhere. So it must be something unique to my situation -- a preference or app or something.
