    [​IMG] I missed this one on my previous 2 outings. Has anybody tried killing the lich in bridge district. Not the lich that gives you the golden torso. Location - same house different door but you need a rogue stone to enter (pinkish room). Man, that is a real toughie!! My entire low level party got wiped out within seconds. There is nothing special about this lich but the main problem is that you have a very small room (nowhere to hide) and you have to deal wt one beholder and 2 other wizards throwing high level spells at you all at the same time. There is no chance for you to save all yr party members (I just hate to lose anybody). Any advise on what's the best strategy to use here for low level party. Otherwise, I may have to come back later and do this. I'm just wondering what sort of goodies that you'll get fm here?

    By the way, exactly how many liches are there in this game. 6??

    That's the Twisted Rune you were in; you may want to search for that on the board here since it's been discussed... There's also a Vampire and some other kind of fighter in there... Extremely dangerous for a low level party, and not a walk in the park for my L17 Archer armed with the Cloak of Mirroring, Mace of Disruption +2, Crom Faeyr, Shield of Balduran, Shield of Harmony, Jhor the Bleeder and Boots of Speed(not in use at the same time of course!)

    I personally found it most advantageous to charge them all with this juggernaut rather than try to keep my whole party alive and fuctioning properly during that battle!

    The spoils are worth it though: The Staff of the Magi; an EXTREMELY powerful weapon in the hands of a mage...

    By my count there's 7 in a normal game: The two with Kangaxx's body parts, Kangaxx himself, the one in the Gate District, the one in the Twisted Rune, and two in the Underdark... Did I miss any?

    2 in underdark? I can only think of 1 in the underdark, something about a rope for that one.

    [​IMG] Since this seems to be a lich-counting topic I'd like to admit, that I've fought 10 liches so far in the game and I'm still in chapter 2. If there are any in the Underdark or somewhere else later in the game I cannot say. But anyway...they are fun AND good XP! I like them and hope they like the taste of righteous steel.

    soul trap = strange globe in underdark (outside drowcity). You can click the 6 six parts and 6 persons come out (one at a time). One of them is a lich (and a wuss..)

    And Elenias, where do you find 10 liches??

    I've heard that if you start the game with a high level character that the game throws some liches at you that aren't there normally... I've heard that they appear in the Temple Ruins and the Planar Sphere...

    That's why I said in a "normal" game I count 7...

    Blackthorne TA is correct. I did the quests a bit out of order and didn't make it to the temple ruins until Chpt 6 and I encountered two liches there.

    When will I come across my first lich? i am a weak party who have just scrached the surface of chapter 2, I am about level 9-10, pretty weedy, what is the first quest I would take to fight one, I don't want to inadvertantly run into one with a weak party.

    There are no liches that you MUST fight anywhere in a normal game; there is one however in the Gate District that could surprise you (it did me).

    It's behind a locked (I think) secret door.

    It's hard to say what level you should be; liches are extremely powerful undead mages that can cast Timestop, Gate, all the Symbol spells, etc. as well as protections like Red Fire Shield, Spell Turning, Mislead etc. So whenever you feel you can handle that, go for it! Remember, this is a game, so you can always try it, and if you can't handle it, reload and come back later...

    Thks markyboy. I just knew it but I can't recall.

    Advise for those low level party out there. Forget about this area for now. I tried again last night and have to reload more than 10 times wt the same result. Grrrr....rr

    One more lich that I can think of:

    When you follow Cernd to the goverment district to rescue his child, a lich overlooks your fight with the owner of the house.

    You don't normally fight the lich, but you can if you want to. He doesn't have any items at all (he holds Cernds baby though), but he gives you lich-like XP.

    You just have to take the body parts to the Kangaxx coffin and click on it. Kangaxx the Lich will appear, kill him, then Kangaxx the demi-lich will appear, hmmm... try to kill him :). Hint : use +4 or +5 weapon with people immune to imprisonment, i.e. I used a berseker with Staff of Rhyn for the firsts rounds, then a Paladin with Carsomyr come and help the Berseker (at this time, the demi-lich only cast spells at the berseker so the Paladin can fight without problems...).

    I HATE LICHES, They are such wusses all of them (Theyre hard but thats not what i mean)
    they all use that f*cking Time stop spell(boy do i hate it) and they Gate and summon and cast meteors(nothing wrong about that) but it is annoying Especially Time stop ( I really, REALLY hate that spell)
