[IMG] This is the quest from the guy buried alive in the graveyard district.

I talked to the gravedigger. Went to the Bridge District. FOund the guy in red. Followed him into the house. Killed him. The two guys ran out. Went upstairs and freed the hostage and read the note about meeting in front of Copper Coronet.

Then when I go outside the two other guys are standing there. They won't talk. Finally one goes red and I kill him. The other runs away and disappears.

I've gone to the Slums to see if the one guy left is outside the Copper Coronet, but nothing (even at night which is what the note says). But, the quest still shows up in my journal.

    Am I missing something??

IIRC that's it. Once one of the kidnapers runs out of the Bridge District that's it.

You could haste the party and force attack them. But the experience and giids you get aren't much, except maybe for the boots of avoidance fromone of the goons. You get more XP by freeing the hostage upstairs.

[IMG] No, that's it the quest is over.
The message on the scroll gives you the option to do it the evil way and hold the hostage for ransom yourself and then you'd have to meet the person mentioned in the scroll.
Releasing her immediately is the good way.

On, btw, the note? Since you freed the prisoner, there's no need for a ransom is there?

OTOH, you could hold the lady for ransom, and wait outside the CC for the ransom. But it's useless and not worth anything as far as the game is concerned. It's not gold, it's not some cool uber-weapon, it's... you play and find out yourself... ;)

(Side note: Hey! I'm a goblin chief now! :) )

This is Anhywhoo at work. It must have just been a strange glitch. I went back to the Bridge District to get the Staff next door (you know which one I mean - and if you don't, get yourself a rogue stone...) and the man in red was back.

I did everything again and now my journal is clear. Weird...

What I always seem to forget to do is to go up the stairs in the building where the man in red goes into! Lol... If you do so, you should run into the noblewoman the man in red and his associates are holding for ransom. You can either free her or hold her for ransom yourself.

[IMG] It really worries me when things that were buried alive begin to resurface. :mommy:
