    hi,

i've read somewhere that if instead of starting with Sarevok you start with the last room and complete the trials from right to left you can act evil and still it wont change your good alignment and will get the good path rewards

    can anyone confirm this ?

I can confirm it is NOT true. I always start with Sarevok.

yeah but what i'm saying is that you DON'T start with Sarevok, instead you go from the rightmost room then do all the rooms clockwise to finish with Sarevok

I think if you dont start with Sarevok, then whichever demon you encounter first will explain the trials to you, instead of him.

Nope, I guess you will be the first! I would also say, if you are using any kind of fixpack, they will most likely have fixed that loophole.

The original BG2 version had a bug where only your behavior with Sarevok was checked for determining if you're good or evil. This was fixed either with one of the patches or ToB. Maybe playing an unfixed game led to the conclusion in the walkthrough you quoted.

so i cannot get the cloak of nymph for my solo inquisitor then ? too bad i'll fight dragons with dragonslayer in hand to prevent fear (but its only a +2 sword), or else a summoned deva will cast protection against fear, these are the only options left to me

Just check your Inquisitor's saving throws. The combination of level 17+ fighter saving throws, +2 paladin bonus and equipment should make you immune to save failures.

[IMG] I've ALWAYS done the trials clockwise and can easily say it's nonsense.
