    Hi, I'm new in the board, not the game...

    I am starting a new game as a Kensai, and I intend to dual to a mage at level 9, and I want to know if it is OK to have wisdom 3, and if not is there some wisdom artifact that brings the wisdom up higher?

    Also, I want to know what you think of my party (to be):
    Me (Kensai/Mage)
    Minsc
    Keldorn
    Yoshimo
    Anoman
    Cernd

    There is an Ioun stone somewhere I think ,can't remember where and I think there may be a mages robe somewhere, hmm, can't rightly remember but I know that each thing would only increse it by 1

    When you have wis-3 your lore ability is going to be pretty silly. Actually I never was satisfied with a wis score below 6, preferrably more.

    And iirc the ion stone mentioned in 8people's post is from ToB ... :nono::yot:

    It is what determines how easily you identify things, the higher lore the more things you can identify without spells

    A wisdom score of 3? doesn't wisdom affect your ability on saving throws?

    IIRC, wisdom affects Cleric Spells and Lore ONLY. Maybe Magic Defense (which wasnt put into the game), but nothing about Wisdom, thought the subject has been discussed several times.

    It may affect them though, depending on class. If you're looking to cast Limited Wish, then Wisdom is taken into account there. And on several Dialog Choices.

    If however you are playing from BG1 (importing a character), then you can get Tomes which improve your WIS score by 3. Bringing it up to 6, which is sort of respectable.

    I am glad to see that WIS does not matter if I don't have cleric spells, and if I don't have identification problames.
    I will keep my WIS very low and have all the others very high.
