Hi everybody, I have a problem. I've been wanting this game for a good time now, and the 1 disc dvd version of the game just came in the mail. I'm in the midst of installing it to my Program Files when I realize that in order to mod it I would need to install it elsewhere (I'm on Vista and apparently it's hard to modify anything installed to the Program Files on my system). So I let it finish installing for no reason other than it was 90% percent done or so, and I figured I'd uninstall it afterwards.

    This was Mistake Number One.

So I go to Uninstall it when some sort of error occured. I can't remember the specifics but after Uninstall Wizard (Or whatever it's called) started up an error message appeared claiming something to the effect of "There's no room to place the temporary install file. Make sure there is room in the C:/Windows/_somethingorother". If I could get this message up again, I'd tell you exactly what it said. So after meaninglessly repeating this process, I decided, "Screw it, I'll just delete the folder of the game in the Program Files folder."

    This was Mistake Number Two.

So now when I run Autorun.exe the window that pops up is the same one as before I deleted the folder manually (With the Options of 'Play' 'Update' 'Uninstall' etc.), and when I click uninstall it says: "Unable to locate the installation log file 'C:program Files\Black Isle\Torment\Uninst.isu'. Uninstallation will not continue." So now I'm stumped. I'd really appreciate any help I could get with my situation. Thanks ahead of time.

You'll need to get all the Torment entries removed from the Registry before reinstalling... check this for more info.

However, if you haven't hard-deleted all the files, you should still have them in the Recycle Bin so restoring that and troubleshooting the uninstall might be easier.

Yep, all I had to do was deleted it from the registry. It's working now, thanks!
