Wouldn't Scarlet Ninja to be a better weapon than Belm? It is plus 3 with an extra attack AND has 2-20 lighting damage. I was thinking I could wear a belt of Giant STR and then use Scarlet Ninja to in my offhand and that would be a devestating combo as well. Plus, I would have the intended Blunt-Blade thing going on.




Another ignorant post by me. Scarlet Ninja to 3 can only be used by Monks.

Say though how much STR does Blackrazor add? That seems like a really dank weapon.

 

I don't recall how much strength it adds, but I don't think it's a lot.

Well, if you really want a slashing and blunt weapon, Flail of Ages is a great weapon for Anomen to wield, then you could go with Crom Faeyr and whatever blade you like for your fighter/mage. There are plenty of great blades to pick from! An axe wouldn't suck either. Axe of the Unyielding in ToB is just sickening in it's awesomeness.

I usually set aside Flail of Ages for Anomen, personally, unless my main character is a cleric, then it's usually FoA/Crom for him.

 

I like to give Nalia a good bow like the tuigan bow (unless I have somebody else using it). Get some good ammo and her attacks per round are decent along with a fair chance at hitting making her respectable in combat outside of spells. Ammo issues can abound though if yo uhave ToB it is easy to get essentially unlimited +1 arrows which really help. The other option is to get the +3 bow in trademeet that has unlimited ammo. Not quite as good in most situations but it will get the job done.

 

Nalia is a dual class, so you can't improve her thief skills any more.

Edit: I just realized you acknowledged that you're a powergamer in another threaed, so never mind.

 

hahaha yes I am a power gamer. I always try and make the best party or character I can BUT I also can be a tad say "shallow" not really the right word but I don't always pick best. For example I will often use the gear that makes my character look sweet instead of "The Best" but thats not really an issue in this game.

 

Weapon Options

i think that Celestial Fury is a massive weapon and have had Valygar wielding it deep into Throne of Bhaal as his main weapon.

Belm as an offhand weapon for Jaheira especially is top notch. She can utilise one of the great clubs as her main option , until she gets Specrtal Brand then its Scimitar hell for opponents

The Impaler is outrageously good (almost unfair if upgrade by the Upgrade Items Mod) and if you are playing Tactics then Bloodbane is filthy !

Tuigan bow is a cool range weapon (akin to a machine gun) esp in an archers hands with improved haste.

Equalise , as has been stated is much under rated and is a solid main weapon but an awesome offhand one.

The Silver Sword is brilliant at dispatching enemies particularly after casting GM or Doom.

The wounding weapons are great also , Jhor and Blackbloood and FoA.

 

Don't worry what anyone else thinks, if you like it, use it! I'm using Belm and Spectral Brand, I like Belm a lot cause I get the extra attack, and as a ranger I only get two pips for proficiency, so getting a whole extra attack is pretty good for me. Yeah it's a plus 2 and some people might scoff at that but w/e. I really like it. I keep the short sword of backstabbing in another slot invade I need a +3 to hurt something like an ademantite golem or something... But for most lackeys the extra attack rocks for backstab and hit an run tactics it really rocks
