I started a new game and originally checked most of the auto-pause radio buttons. After a while this got annoying so I turned them off, but they never truly turned off. The game auto-pauses still for many things and I want to turn these off so that only traps and see a enemy are on. I am using linux with weidu if this helps any.

I've never played under Linux, and I thought Weidu was a program for integrating changes to dialog.tlk and creating compatible installations when making mods.

    Do you mean WINE?

In any case, I'd check that the changes are getting implemented in the baldur.ini file. They were pretty self-explanatory if you open them in a text editor like Nano, Kedit, Emacs or Vi.

Sorry, I meant I have the BG2Fixpack (IIRC) only installed on top of vanilla BG2 & ToB plus latest patch. So no special mods that could cause the problem.

Yes, it runs very smooth in WINE.

Here is my baldur.ini file and it has nothing about pauses:

Your is much smaller than mine, but I was confusing it with a different game because of the "Pause on trap" option introduced with Tales of the Sword Coast that also appears in IWD and IWD2.

Sorry, there should however be a "Auto pause state=XXXX" under game options, but your file seems to be missing a lot of fields. Here is an old copy of mine from a backup I made about 4 years ago:

You might want to try inserting
    Code:
    Auto Pause State=1209
under the Game Options heading and see if it helps.

    ---------- Added 20 hours, 46 minutes and 3 seconds later... ----------

Also, if your version of WINE, which I admit I have little knowledge of, has virtual stores like Vista and Windows 7 (not XP and below), you might need to check that hidden directory for another Baldur.ini, since it IS missing a lot of fields.
