[IMG] Hello, I was wondering what types of hardware accessories would be compatible to play Icewind Dale with? I really, really want to play it with my XBOX 360 computer compatible gamepad. Is there any way that would be possible, or are there files I may have to download for compatibility? Other than that, what are some of y'alls best methods of playing? Your accessories and so forth- or is it only going to just be poking keys on a keyboard and clicking a mouse for IWD? Thank you.

First off: I can barely read the purple text on SP's background.

Second: You only need the mouse. You may use the Keyboard for shortcuts and whatnots...but ultimately you need just the mouse.

And I'm not aware of anyone who played any of the Infinity-Engine games with a controller, nor of any existing method of achieving this.

And on a side-note: The smoothest and fastest and not to mention most natural way to play, is the Mouse.

Darion, I appreciate your response. Purple text? I was not aware of that, I must have made a mistake while playing around with the colors, so, sorry to you or anyone else for that. Since this game is completely played by keyboard/mouse, is there a sheet on what each key and each mouse click does anywhere on here or elsewhere? Thanks for your help, Darion.

The game is mostly mouse driven. You point and click to walk around, attack, open your character window, equip items etc. There are also keyboard shortcut for a long of actions. There is a fully key mapping listing in the game, and you can even change what keys do what to suit your taste.

So it's highly flexible in that regard (unlike a console controller).
