    Hey Everyone,

I recently cracked open IWD again, and started playing it. Now, it is playable, but it's somewhat jerky when scrolling. Has anyone else seen something like this? The game appears to 'run' perfectly, as far as everything is concerned, but the scrolling isn't a smooth action, and some in-game actions (fighting, spells) will appear jerky. The jerkiness (sorry for the untechnical descriptor there, by the way) doesn't actually seem to be calculated by the game (as there isn't any delay in spells being cast that I'm aware of, or damage being recorded), and is merely visual.

    My current machine:
    XP Pro
    Phenom II 2.9ghz
4gb of ram (showing as less)
    MSI R5450 video card (1gb gddr3)
and a couple 320gb hard drives

In Regards to my game version:
Fully Patched (installed IWD, patched to newest, installed HOW, patched to newest)
    Trials of the LureMaster
Ease of Use Mod (all but Dual Class)
Auril's Bane (all but Druids and Harder Yxunomei)

Did you enable 3D acceleration in the Config.exe tool that comes with the game?
Another thing you can do there is to set "Tile Pre-Cache" to 100%, seeing as you have more than enough memory. The description claims that this improves scrolling.

Well, I had a large stack of new PC parts arrive today, including a new video card, so I'll give that a check after I rebuild/reinstall. Thank you!

Also: was that information in a FAQ, or similar, that I missed?

That seems indeed the solution. Had the same problem a week ago, but after toying with the settings, I discovered 3D acceleration has been turned off for some reason.
