BGII Chapter 6...I've finally defeated Bodhi and her minions in her dungeon but have been unable to locate the Rynn Lanthorn, required to proceed to Chapter 7..the Versus guide's key items list shows that this item is retrieved "From Bodhi". I even re-did this
battle in open ground to see if maybe dropped treasure was hiding in a shadowed area the first time but no such luck...am I doing something wrong? or am I just missing the obvious?

 

Well at least your in the right area. When you say you defeated Bohdi, did you use a stake to 'Finish' the job correctly? When you do this you'll get additional dialogue.

Remember she's a vampire so you have to visit her 'coffin' down on the lower level of the Vampire complex.

After doing this search her room thoroughly... you'll find the item.

G/L! -Just curious, did you have any assistance when fighting Bohdi? The Shadow Thieves, Radiant Heart or whom if any?

Anyone else that beat the game - I'd like to hear who you teamed up with for this fight. Only because of one name -Arkanis Gath. He must be a diety or something. He assisted my quest vs Bohdi and I 'just was messin around' and TRIED to kill him. He must be a demi god or something, because he CANNOT be defeated.

Nope, no help at all that I could tell.
As I went into the lower dungeon level where you encounter Bodhi for hopefully the last time, I was met by Drizzt (who I'd asked for help when I encountered him coming out of the underdark) but he left after a short dialogue bit. He said I could meet him in the graveyard proper after I finished with Bodhi but I guess he wasn't there as I hadn't properly finished Bodhi off....where exactly do I need to go to stake Bodhi? I tried the 3 coffins on the upper level of Bodhi's dungeon and couldn't stake anything. I thought maybe the boat looking thing on the lower level might be it but it doesn't behave like the other 3 coffins.

 

Bodhi's coffin is in the room to the right of where you actually fight her.

As for who helped me, I got assistance from the Shadow Thieves, but they only helped me in the fight with the vampires outside of Bodhi's chamber... as for the battle itself, I had no assistance whatsoever, except from the creatures I summoned.

 

I got assisted by Drizzt, by the shadow thieves and by the Order of the most Noble heart...

I didnt have to do much

 

Well Bohdi's coffin doesn't LOOK like the other coffins on the first level but... It behaves the same. Of course you have to have wooden stakes/holy water in a characters inventory to finish the job.

After you defeat her in battle ( I can't recall if she actually turns into the 'mist/spirit form') then go to her inner chambers where her coffin is. Move your cursor over it and see if it turns into a 'sword/attack' cursor, then attack it if you have wooded stakes in your inventory -or Holy Water. Then check her COFFIN thoroughly. All sides and angles and crevice's (Sorry Minsc & Boo). You'll find what you are looking for.
