I can't find the equalizer blade!

ok...i got the pommel jewel from waukeen's promenade.... the hilt after defeating all the brain suckers in their base.... i beat the elder orb and all the rest in the beholder dungeon but i cant find the blade...

i read somewhere that i can get the blade there! all i get is some eye, and somewhere else in the dungeon i picked up a green amulet.....

so where do i get the equalizer blade? i thought im suppose to get it after killing that dumb eye thingy...

 

The Equalizer's blade can be found on the body of the first Elder Orb in the Beholder Dungeon.

Try checking around again...

This guy is rather difficult... use the finger of death on his wimpier friend and surround him with summoned creatures, beholders tend not to spell attack those and their bite attack is laughable - alternatively you could use those cheating mirror cloak and Baldurian shield or (whatever) neither of which I have ever found.

Cloak of Mirroring is found in the Sahuagin city.
Balduran's Shield is available from Dierdre, one of the bonus merchants in the Adventurers Mart. You'll need the Collectors Ed or otherwise need to have downloaded the bonus merchants.

 

i killed every beholder in the area!! on that body i only found the damn eye...

and u can find the CLoak of Mirroring on one of the Sahuagin rebel parties that attack u in the cavern city.... so i didnt cheat by using it... i specifically avoided the Unseen Eye quest coz of that... i didnt want to buy that shield either... cozt that aint as fun anymore... coz it would be a walk in the park...

The elder Orb was a piece of cake.
I only restarted once, becasue he petrified Minsc and I had no stone-to-flesh scroll.
But He was dead in no time.
3 times a magic missile, a fire arrow, an acid arrow, a half-orc Barbarian with strength 19 hacking with a Thaco of -4 and hitting with 15-40 damage per hit.
He was dead in no time as I said...

 

ah.... so i cant fidn anything there... the only thing i found there was the damn EYE!!! help me... is this a bug? if it is... does the patch help coz i already installed the patch? i really hate having to use SK

 

As everyone said Munir, It's SUPPOSED to be there. I, for one, found it there too. It's next to the Elder Orb's Eyestalk as you check it's corpse. If it's not there, maybe you got it and ditched it by mistake (it happens, with me it was wellyn's bear) or maybe you didn't check well enough (again, it happens, I didn't check Firkraag, No Carsomyr. AAARGH!) or maybe, as you said, it may be a glitch. As one of SP's ANTI-_-SHADOW KEEPER TO THE MAX activists, I'm giving you my approval to use SK (like you or anyone gave a crap ) because it's not really cheating. It's getting your just reward. Fixing a glitch

 

Still sounds like cheating to me... Anyway, don't bother as the equaliser isn't that good.

 

I wouldn't consider it cheating since He beat the elder eye without it's use. It's like fixing a glitch. but hey, that's me
And for me, The Equalizer rocks. Especially if you have a Kensai with Full long sword proficiencies.

 

IIRC the best part in the equaliser is that it looks cool... Only reason why to use Xan in BG1 Too bad the flaming weapons didn't look good with the new resolution... (I want to dualwield two of those BG1 weapons with actual flames, not glowing weapons, might look tough )
