ok i downloaded the shadowkeeper editor just to play around after beating the game. i was looking through the swords and it lists the unholy reaver 2 handed sword only usable by anti-paladins. does anyone know if this is an actual item you can get or is it just there for some npc to use against you? I'd REALLY like to be able to play as an evil paladin (after all don't evil gods have champions? :)

Just make a Paladin character and do all sorts of evil stuff.
    I think a Fallen Paladin=Anti Paladin

There is no Anti-Paladin in this game. A fallen Paladin loses all his special abilities, and his ability to specialze in a weapon. He becomes a basic fighter. The same can happen to a ranger. The Anti Paladin has his own inate abilities, and follows diffrent rules that the Paladin.

Someone correct me if I am wrong. It's been a real long time since I have done any pen and paper gaming.

That's correct. An Anti-Paladin has all the abilities of a Paladin, expect all those abilities are the exact opposite. Protection from Evil becomes Protection from Good. Lay Hands because Cause Wounds. Call Warhorse becomes Call Nightmare. Protection from Disease becomes Cause Disease and so forth. It's a deadly class and one I would enjoy playing in a CRPG, if it was done right and one I have DMed in pen and paper. There is evil and then there is good evil :)

An Anti-Paladin would be an appropiate class for one of the Bhaal spawn. I always considered playing a Paladin dubious for Baldurs Gate because of the characters tainted nature. By the way does a Paladin serve a specific god much like a cleric or does the character serve an ideal instead.

In general, Paladins worship gods of the Lawful Good variety. Helm appears to be a very popular god for Paladins in BGII, though I didn't realize he *was* LG.. it's just been a long time since I played AD&D, I guess.

    Isn't Helm a Neutral God?
    Maybe True or Lawful Neutral

Hmm.. I think Keldorn the npc paladin is a Paladin of Thorm, and Helm is supose to me Neutral, Thalos Evil and Lathendar Good.
