Cannot reach Ulgoth's Beard

I have The Original Saga (BG1+TOTSC 3cd) installed with Kevin Dorners Baldurash BG1FixPack11 and BG1TOSCGameTextUpdate11, and Dudleyville's Dudleyfix's 1, 2, and 3, and some components from Unfinished Business.

Now the problem is that I cannot go north from Wyrm's Crossing to get to the zombie farm or Ulgoth's Beard. I also tried to get there from Peldvale and Spider Wood. No matter how I try to approach it, it stays greyed out. I even tried to get there from the CLUAConsole but it said that the area didn't exist (don't remember offhand what I typed, it was a couple weeks ago). I've got everything else done (before Baldur's Gate), and I want to go do the expansion stuff for more XP before going to the city. Anyone know what I might do to fix this? I'm kinda thinking that I have a botched install cause my discs are in rough shape.

So, does anyone have any ideas before I reinstall and start over?

 

I'm having this exact same problem, with exactly the same components installed. Thankfully, I can teleport there via the console. I'm on Chapter 5.

Edit: It seems like something Dudleyfix does. Seems like it's a widely-reported bug. Bit obnoxious when a 'fix' pack introduces a new problem, but nevermind, at least threre's a workaround. Hello Console, my old friend.

 

FWIW, I ran only the 2 Baldurdash updates on version 1.3.5521, and did not have the problem.

 

I don't recall having this issue when I ran the classic back in the day. It's easy enough to fix with the console or an editor though.

 

I did some googling, it looks like it's a widely-reported issue with Dudleyfix. Looks like it nerfs the exits to U'sB on the zombie farm north of the bridge and the bridge itself.

Can teleport there via the console though, that opens up U'sB as a 'solid' destination which you can travel to from any exit. Not the worst bug in the world.

 

There's no bug that can't be fixed if you know enough about the engine. Aside from hard software crashes.
