Ah come on, the Birttish are just very traditional... and will tolerate no competition for their nr.1 drugs: Tea. ;-)

And true, as long as the Conservatives rule the country, not much will change I guess (even though they legalised medical usage).

The UK is going through some interesting times. Our current prime minister is getting a lot of flak for his subpar response to COVID, so maybe this will turn the tides for a non-Conservative party to win the next general election. Our economy is currently in a sorry state because of COVID restrictions, and this will only get worse because of Brexit. Decriminalising cannabis could possibly give a boost to our economy, especially since alcohol isn't as accessible because of all the pubs closing. I doubt it would happen, though. I can only dream.

Same. Even if they legalise it, the coffeeshops would also be closed so where would you get it? You can still buy beer in supermarkets. And it will not give a huge boost to economy. Maybe a short one and then it will collapse because people are not very productive when they are stoned.... and also not the morning after. I don't think much will change when you legalise it.

Canada already has it legalised everywhere. I was kind of shocked when I first moved to Vancouver area 5 years ago. There were dispensaries everywhere and it wasn't even legal yet.

    Yes, better get some.

If I were a benevolent Tyrant, I would put the death penalty on smoking.
