Melf's Minute Meteor + Improved Haste is one of my favorites. It worked well on the shadow dragon when I solo'ed him with a fighter / mage.

[IMG] I think Spell Sequencer and three Fire Arows works great. One of those and a critical hit with my Kensai on Irenicus in Tree of Life and he was dead

[IMG] You know, I'm kind of keen on grease. Combined with every other area of effect spell you have, especially stinking cloud and so on, you can really do a lot of damage from a distance. Bigby's fist or whatever (been a while) was pretty good, too. In the battle with one of the final "bosses" of BG2, the giant dude (there's a spoiler warning so I assume fair game) he died before I knew it after that one. Oh, and skull trap IS awesome.

Feeblemind is way overpowered. I'm surprised only one mentioned it. Feeblemind on Irecicus or on a dragon and they are out of the fight completely.

@Deano: chromatic orbs can stun or even turn an enemy completely to stone. What part of that is usefull? It means everything in their inventory is lost

  6. I like Minor Spell Sequencer. Mix a Ray of Enfeeblement and a Blindness, and you can impair a strong enemy considerably. Defense-wise, Blur and Mirror Image give a good defense. Two Melf's Acid Arrows also work well.

    [IMG] Listen closely!

Magic resist will make monsters with 100 magic resist wail! Preist spell brings it to a max of 40... very useful.

Firestorm is good to.[I love preists(not to much though.)]

[IMG] OK, knowing that spell I guess it's that what you wanted to say:

-The the lvl-5 priest spell Magic Resistance sets the MR of an enemy according to priest level. The MR resistance the spell offers is 2% per level of the caster.
-This MR overrides the targets MR - so you can reduce an enemies MR. A level 20 cleric would set the targets MR to 40 then ... nice when the MR of the enemy is higher ... stupid when it's lower ... basically: the lower your cleric level, the better is the offensive effect of that spell.

That isn't new - no need for a "LISTEN CLOSELY" alert ... and please, please, please try to write full and structured sentences  period

Hmmm...I use Skull Trap quite a lot, as well as Melf's Minute Meteors.... Vampiric Touch is one nobody seems to have mentioned. Until you get the better healing spells (or if you're soloing, or without a cleric) it is PRICELESS. I use Web quite a lot, in combination with Cloudkill whenever possible.

Oh also Mirror Image, because unlike Stoneskin, it absorbs direct offensive spells thrown at you, like magic missle, melf's acid arrow, and flame arrow.

I don't like mirror image because they always dispel illusions. Stoneskin is rarely dispelled

Just cast both, you'll have more than enough level 2 spell slots anyway.

[IMG] crom orb is a good spell at its highest level, (12, I think) as it has a chance of killing INSTANTLY if the opponent fails his\her\its saving throw, but even if they do, they take damage! Minor spell sequencer is often stomped on by chain congenicty, but it can be useful! Example: Combine magic missle with Crom orb for lots of damage and a extra effect! Combine acid arrow with flame arrow to burn and posion the target, combine two rays of enfeeblement to send fighters in for a eaiser battle, or mabye just do two magic missles to create 10 at thier highest level! Also, If you have a party full of mages (possible in single-player multi-player) then you can have up to... *counts* ... a total of 60 magic missiles! yowza! or 12 crom orbs! Frankly, the possibiltys are endless with minor spell sequencers :D.

Remove Magic, can cut down almost anything esp. when caster is in a high level, eg. combat protections, enchanted spells and annoying invisibility. This spell only effects on enemies, so best be utilized in thick heating battle.
