    I got the dagger out of Durlags and brought it to these crazy cult fanatics. But when they summon up that demon it just rocks me. I would really apprciate any stratagy tips on how to send this demon back to the abbys.

    Surround it with summoned monsters, drink Potions of Mirrored Eyes to protect you from its death gaze, kill all the acolytes standing around first, then concentrate on the demon.

    That's indeed pretty much it, if you are having trouble killing the acolytes fast enough try two wands of fireball. Those will wipe the aco's right out.

    I used the stairs to escape. If you leave the area, you can heal yourself easily. Cloud kill does the work instead of you too if you are invisible.

    I used a Protection from Magic scroll on my PC fighter. He went in there solo and cleaned house! :D

    Well, I finally got the Demon. I used some arrows of detonation and fireball wand to kill the cult members and then hit the demon with two cloudkill spells and lots of ranged weapons. But then a ghast came out of nowere and killed Imoen! It was like a super Ghast. She exploded on the first hit! It was really annoying. So, I'm going to have to try it again and add the Ghast to my battle plan.

    No, no, no. Imoen was turned into the Ghast by the demon; she wasn't killed by a Ghast. That's the result of its death gaze. Either use Potions of Mirrored Eyes (like I told you! :) ) or I believe you can cast Dispel Magic on the person after they've been affected, before they're turned into a Ghast.

    A little symbol will appear on their portrait to indicate they've been affected by the death gaze(I don't remember what it looks like) and you have a little while before they turn into a Ghast.

    The icon that shows up looks like a little snake I think, or a snake with a skull for a head.

    Some damn thing... anyway if you see one of your characters is paralyzed you'll be needing a dispel magic quickly, or you have the exploding-character-turing-into-a-ghast-issue.

    Incidently, I seem to recall having some success stunning the demon for a long time with chromatic orb.
