Assuming that you are only going through SOA, and not TOB (because of the forum you posted in), you do not get level 9 spells without an experience cap remover. That being said, for purely SOA purposes, dual class is better than multi-class. Once TOB comes into the question (and it may if you intend to get it in the future), multi-class is vastly superior. If you want to know why, PM me or do a seach in the TOB forum for Multi in the topic heading and I'm sure you will find enough info to explain the benefits and detriments of each.

[IMG] I'd prefer Fight/Mage because i just like them better. There is also that if you dual class in the game with a kensai, you will not be able to wear robes etc. :( . Remember to read the information on the dual class. Just to remind you: A Figther/Mage will be able to
use any armour what belongs to the figther class, thoug with his spells disabled. But then, a Kensai won't be able to wear ANY armor AT ALL not even robes. A Kensai/mage sure is a better figther and have lower AC when he levels up, thoug already then, the Figther/Mage will have a much better armour than the Kensai. Take this as my prefering, not yours. I have no need for the dominted. :thumb:

I'm sure you can wear the robes with a kensai/mage dual. Or maybe I could from a patch or mod I installed. I'm not 100% though.

[IMG] Malo, im not sure either but i think you can't  . Remember the information from the class'? It says that kensai cannot wear ANY armor or bracers and the dual class says that the character will bi able to cast wizard spells and use any armor thatis suitaple for warriors. But the kensai is a warrior and cannot wear armor... :thumb:

My understanding was that you can wear robes. It's one of the things that makes the kensai/mage so powerful. Robes aren't actually classed as armor which is why mages can wear them. Same goes for ioun stones and that death mask you can find to prevent critical hits.
