    *Sigh*

    Apparently I had some corrupted files in my BGII:SoA directory, and could for some reason not uninstall SoA (Worked fine when uninstalling ToB). So what did Einstein here chose to do I here you ask? Well, Einstein here chose to delete the game manually :bang:

    Of course, now I cannot reinstall the game. I can reinstall ToB even though no SoA files are located on my computer, yet of course I can nay play the game. :rolleyes:

    So does anyone have a solution to my problem, other than reinstalling Windows?
    There must be something I can do!

    OK , try the firs idea , since messing with the registry is dangerous
    Edit
    OK ,wright click the cd_rom click open and double click setup.exe
    or do this on the desktop click start (left down corner) click run and write e:bad:setup.exe
    if e is not the letter of your cd_ROM change it with that letter

    It won't work, have tried it. It just brings up the 'do you wish to uninstall soA......' msg. and when selecting yes, unstalling and trying to run the setup again, it starts anew.

    Unfortunately that didn't work either. The setup will still only allow uninstallation, and will generate a new key when done...

    EDIT: Got i working by erasing the keys: - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\BG2Main.exe and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{8DAE4336-2B71-11D4-9A6C-006067325E47}

    Afterwards it also needed a manual deleting of the: 8DAE4336-2B71-11D4-9A6C-006067325E47} in the Program files/InstallShield instalation information folder.

    thanks for the help :thumb:

    Thanks for posting those key values Olimikrig! I just had exactly this problem (caused by a powercut), and while nothing else I could find worked deleting the keys you said has.
