keeping drow equipment

    [​IMG] I have heard that you can give all your drow stuff to one character - and then boot them from the party - with the instructions to meet you at the Copper Coronet later - and, surprise, your drow stuff will survive..... how does this work exactly?

    Also, I've heard that you can drop the stuff as you emerge and then pass it out by character bucket brigade - and get out with your stuff... but I need details!

    I love this armor - I'd like to keep it!

    Have they really made that mistake?
    I can understand that it would be intact if you do the "copper coronet trick" as long as you stay inside. Since there aint no sunlight inside a house. But wont it break when you go outside?

    Apparently it only burns up in the section where you emerge from the underdark, everywhere else seems fine.

    There are a couple of checkpoints. You can also have a familiar (if you are the right alignment) pickpocket them from a character and, once past the checkpoint, you have drow stuff. However, if you're going to cheat, wouldn't it be easier to use Shadowkeeper to just add the armor to your character whereever you are instead of exploiting a bug in the game?

    The only other checkpoint I know of is the pocket plane in ToB. There are more, though.

    spoogemonkey, if you really want to know how to keep drow equipment, you can find it in Dan Simpson's cheating guide (he euphemistically calls it a "walkthrough") :D
