Do all charge items (wands/ staff of lightning, etc.) recharge itself (like the Ring of the Ram)after you sleep?

    No.
The ones you see in description "per day" do recharge. Others don't. Unless you exploit the bugs. But that's not something I'll spam.

Indeed, common Wands (Monster Summoning, Wand of Ice, Wand of Fire) etc. etc. have limited charges and cannot be recharged. When you have the wand in your quick inventory and you wann ause it, you can see how many charges are left.

You can sell them and buy them back, they'll be fully recharged. (that's the legitimate and someway expensive way to do it)

If you like to exploit the game and have a decent pickpocket, you can do it for free. (but I find that pretty dumb RPGwise, so I won't detailled the method if you don't already know it)

Is it? So now merchants have the ability to recharge items and you don't. Not even finest of your party members. Not even Jan who is inventor. Beautiful.

What will be merchant's next skill? Imbuing your NPCs with special abilities I guess...

Hey! It's not my fault that the creator of the game didn't made a place, like High Edge in BG1, where there's a skillful wizard who's able to recharge items.

I agree that it's kind of dumb, that every sellers in BG2 can do it, but at least when you have to pay for it, you think twice before recharching an item that may not be wotrh the amount asked.

Anyway, for the sake of "logical" role playing, I only have my items recharged (and not that often I may add) at the Adventurer's Market, where I tell myself there's bound to be someone skillful enough to do it working for Ribald.
