[IMG] i want everyone to post here why you love monks and why they hate them, because i think they are just one of the classes which you either love or hate.

Personally i love them, and they are really fun going solo, as you don't have to worry about were your going to get next armor or weapon.

Quivering palm, is the most lethal innate ability of the game, being able to take out a dragon in one swift blow. A good armor class that increass every 2 levels and your hands become the most powerful weapon in the game, at level 15, inwhich your hands do 1d20+3 damage.

So their you have it, monks are extremely powerful and thats why i am going to predict that most people are going to post why they hate him because of this factor.

[IMG] I confess that I love the monk, not taking out dragons with the palm though!

I made a Darth Vader character, voice is MALE1 (or 2, don't know exactly) and portrait is taken from Sorcerer's Place. Lawful Evil Monk seems to fit him best!

EDIT: There have been a LOT of posts about this already!

I don't like them because they are boring, plain and simple. Not using armor *or* weapons as a fighter isn't fun at all, and you're really only getting better by level, so two monks of the same level would be identical exept for stats. The few extra abilites they get are nice, but hardly needed. And, they don't fit into the plot at all, since there is no way you could be trainied as a monk in Kara-tur if you're in Candlekeep. I never take non spell casters, since I get bored after about 10 minutes.

Oh, and if you're looking for information, do a search before posting; it will save you a lot of time, and other people's as well since we won't have to tell you this ;).
