Has anyone thought it was strange that Imoen being a bhaalspawn and both of you just happend to be brought up at Candle keep? Did Gorian know Imoens true nature if so why did he not bring her up as well? Why did he not want imoen with him when he tries to flee from candle keep. If he did not know about Imoen who brought her to the Keep and who was watching over her? Two Bhaalspawn brought up at the same place it cant be chance. How did Irenicles find out about her? I hope that in the expansion some of these questions are ansawed. What does everyone else think about this?

 

A lot of BG stuff seems to have StarWars overtones so maybe its the same. The sister was kept seperate (but close enough for Gorion to keep an eye on) and Sarevok didn't realise because she is not as powerful as the brother (as we see through Iranicus' experiments).

Gorion thought it best not to mention it to you least you give the secret away to the likes of Sarevok. Of course, he probably didn't realise that most of us were going to spend most of BG1 trying to chat her up either.

Or, being cynical, Bioware didn't have the idea about making her your sister until BG1 became succesful enough to start on BG2. At that point they thought it would be a cool idea.

 

C'mon, that looks as Jaheira will end up as your mother in next BG.

Come to think of it, maybe Imoen is your sister...

 

Oh God please don't let Jaheira be your long lost mother - not after what I was doing with her every time we 'rested' for the night. At least nothing actually happened with Imoen in BG1.

In BG1 it says Imoen was "like a sister", maybe that's the subconcious effect of the shared blood. On Jaheira being your mother - that's one thing I don't have to worry about ... ulp, maybe Korgan's my legal father and has already killed his wife for cheating on him and wants to find the child so that his revenge can be complete...(hides)

I am sorry but you are all mistaken , does nobody watch buffy the Vampire Slayer.

There is definately a link in the game for that , one being guess what lots of Vampires ,secondly you become the "SLAYER" after confronting Bohdi for the second time OMF what is happening here ???

No Star Wars happy family links there. Just a vampire/monster bashing episode of Buffy.

 

I'm a HUGE Buffy fan (season 2 DVD's coming out soon!!!) but it's a little far fetched Mage_0 to see a link between BG2 and Buffy.

Also I don't see why you're all so surprised that Imoen was your sister. I think that it's pretty safe to assume that Gorian was trying to find as many of the Bhaalspawn as possible. He would have read the prophecies of Aluando so he'd know that there was Bhaalspawn out in the world and he probably tried to gather as many as he could to raise as "good aligned" characters, to avoid more Sarevoks.

 

Hmm maybe Buffy will be the new NPC in Throne of Bhaal.... immunity to level drain, double damage against vampires

 

I'm not saying that having Iomen as a sister is not possible , but then again in Buffy , she misteriously gets a sister as well , that happens to be some key or other.

As for the amount of vampires , can't remember seeing that many in BG 1 or TOSC.

And as for being called "The Slayer" which is buffy's other name. Is definately is a twist.

1.) Buffy lives in a town over run by Vampires that come from the Graveyard - hence link to BG2.
2.) There are other monsters and witch craft and spells in buffy - link to BG2.
3.) There are other monsters in Buffy ,like werewolves , summoned demons etc - hence link to BG2.
4.) In buffy another slayer comes to town and ends up being evil trying to kill buffy - link to Your character and Saverok.

Gorion is like Niles in buffy , protecting and guiding the Slayer.

Definately a link to buffy , can't believe you thinks it far fetched.

 

if anyone has completed the game they will know what i am talking about.
i think that the guys who where sitting around the table in the end sequence knew all about sarevok/~player~/imoen, and they where just trying to get u to work 4 them, (maybe a link from buffy, they could be an equvelant for the watchers council) they might have told gorion about the ~player~ being a Bhaal spawn so he take care of you but not wanting him to know about Imoen. they could have just been testing you in these games by pushing certain people against u. like how would john know about Imoen when u don't, hell she didn't even know. they could have told irenicus so he would take her and they would know about u following, either to get power or Imoen and then have a big fight in both plains. they could have tipped info to john and sarevok so they could see how u performed and maybe they might just test Imoen next and see how she fairs. simple, or not so simple. that just sums it up...

well he could be crying in a corner coz he found out that his girlfreind (ex, depends on where u r in the series) changes into a horrible monster when things get messy (minus 2 popularity pints). and i say he should do, he is a broody *******.
