[IMG] In general, do you like to play a good character or Evil? If you ask me, its more fun to play evil because you don't need that high requirements and you dont have to feel guilty about doing a certain quest, like buying swords and ale for kids. Also, having "fallen" characters sounds pretty cool. Think about it, fallen archer/fallen paladin/ etc. They just sound great!!!

[IMG] 1. I always play neutrals.

    2. I never play humans so I can't be "fallen" nor DC

    3. I don't think I belong to this poll...

Good or evil and sometimes nuetral.

Fallen sounds good yeah but it is no difference really just that people don't like you much. Fallen Assasin is a good name for you!

I like playing evil! Though I rarely let those fanatic pally dudes enter my party, I'd rather slice them :D

though mixing good and evil parties, where you are evil and the goody boys are getting all frustrated about how you act, that is great indeed ;)

    oh my, getting late... :coffee:

Fallen Archer sounds like a foot condition. (-:

It's easier to play evil, but the quests are lamer. There are only four or five evil quests which a good-aligned party would recoil from, most of which are short and boring; and there must be thirty good quests which an evil party might object to doing.

You could argue that an evil party would accept many of the "thirty or so" "good" quests simply because most involve some measure of devliry, killing, mayhem or other "non-good" things. For instance, the fallen paladin quest can easily be accepted (if not completed for the experience) simply to attempt to bathe in the blood of both sides!

[IMG] But remember - to even get the paladins' quest, you need a reputation of at least 10! Boosting ones rep by donations - considered lame by me.

EDIT: Ever heard of "search"? http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/Forum2/HTML/002026.html

You could certainly argue that an intelligent evil person would have no objection to doing good quests which boost his reputation, so long as he gets benefits from it (gold, XP, magic items, and discounts at all the stores)... but just try explaining that to Edwin, Korgan, and Viconia. (-:

[IMG] I agree with tjekanefir...but I think the reason is that Edwin and Korgan are none too wise (what use is their intelligence when they're too foolish to use it well?) But Viconia...Hmmmm...
I play all three alignments, and so far, I've favored being a Chaotic Neutral. (Hehehe....I know the choices are good and evil, but being a Chaotic Neutral, it's your choice what to do. It all depends on your whim. If you want to go on a mayhem, then do so. If your whim dictates you to do good, then, do so. It really doesn't matter... just like tossing a coin:))

    BTW
Fallen sounds good, but I think the price for being one is...not really that worth it. (Unless you really want to though...:))
Losing your special abilities that make you special is not really that satisfying.
Like if you play a Fallen Druid or something like that, you become an ordinary evil cleric (or so I heard). Why do so when you become a priest of Talos and get great special abilities?

I like the idea of a Chaotic Evil person slaughtering the masses, then giving to Talos to bring his reputation back up again...

Keep in mind, that wherever you go, good or evil, you leave a trail of dead in your wake. You're a Bhaalspawn, and that has consequences. The idea of a good reputation is shady as it is. Just as some will outweigh the good you've done over the bad, others will accept gold to outweigh the bad...

You also leave a trail of solved problems and happy families whereever you go. The main character should get licensed as a therapist, man. (-: I liked when Valygar said "Oh, look, here's PC back in town. Maybe he can solve *all* our problems!" It's like no one can find their own lost dog without you around. No wonder your rep gets so high!
