Korgan, Keldorn and Anomen

Keldorn and Korgan are next to each other and Anomen is right behind Korgan. will this cause any fights to break out?

 

Anomen will only fight with Keldorn if he fails his test for entry into the Order of the Radient Heart. Otherwise, you should not have any problems with these three.

 

There are a couple of conversations before Anomen starts beating the Sh1t out of Keldorn, other than that the group is fine.

 

If Anomen failed his knighthood, so his alignment is CN, he'll attack (and kill) Keldorn and Aerie though not without a conversation first. If Anomoen's LG, he and Korgan will just snipe at each other.

 

Anomen kills Keldorn? Now how is that possible?

 

It's based entirely on their levels, equipment, hit points and so forth. It's like Minsc and Edwin. Either party can win. Though usually, for me at least, Anomen doesn't stand a chance against Keldorn.

 

Apparently I'm the only person who can stand Anomen long enough to develop his skills so he can beat the living **** out of who or whatever is in his way.

Like I said, if Anomen is CN, there will be trouble with Keldorn.

 

Oh, he's good - I took him all the way the one time I played BG II and ToB to the finish, but I still think Keldorn could win if both are well-equipped.

 

I can get Anomen down to AC -10 in Chapter 2 itself, while Keldorn would be about -2. While the best weapon with Keldorn might be his own (with its backlash damage), Anomen gets the FoA.
If the fight happens in Chapter 2, Keldorn will die.

Now if the fight takes place in Chapter 6 and Keldorn has Two Handed Weapon Style ++ weilding the Vorpal sword ...

 

It all comes down to which one has the gauntlets of dex equipped. Ani can get a -12 AC and Kel a -7AC. Of course, if Ani's g/f takes exception to Keldorn's attitude toward her man...

I don't think you are all that alone... at least I will back you up in support of Anomen. He is well written, and more fun than many others IMHO.

 

I like Anomen.

 

I've played BG2 twice through and I've always had Anomen in my team. I like his attitude and comments, though his ideas suck usually. Clerics are very strong. My own character was a pure priest of Helm and with Anomen, too, in the party...no fight seemed impossible. With the right selection of spells and some rest all was well. And if all else fails, as it did with Irenicus, just cast GATE with all of your priests and leave for a while and return to finish him (of course aid the pit fiends by casting dispel, breach and such). Irenicus was unable to defeat the pit fiends. I lol'd. I did the same to groups of beholders at least twice. Just couldn't arse myself to cast all the buffs and do something smart. I also had Aerie, Minsc, Keldorn and Imoen. Oh and Anomen's ability to turn undead is devastating at higher levels. Vampires just explode with some lvl 20 priest walking around. And I had 2 lvl 20 priests walking around.

Anomen, the stupid whinger, pathetic cleric, useless fighter who annoys me to a point which really frustrates me ... so NO, i havent ever reached that stage!!!

 

I like Anomen.. although I have to really because I'm like him sometimes...

If I hadn't had him in the party during the last fights in Bodhi's lair we'd have been annihilated. Much the same with many other encounters really.

I like Anomen too - I've never had a game without the guy. He's pretty useful with Crom Faeyr and GoD. His shield is pretty good at the start of the game too.

Did I hear somewhere that they changed his original portrait to make him look older, BTW? If Bioware did, is there a link to the old pic anywhere?

Oof, I dont like the original portrait. Those cheekbones are just too gravity defying to be natural.

I take it Keldorn and Korgan get on alright, then? I've never tried the two together, but I imagine they make quite a team up front.
