[IMG] How do I pick a fight whith Renal(sp)
without being murdered by the assassin
weilding the Kill Sword? I looked for
him after I joined Bohdi but he is no where
    to be found.

Renal Bloodscalp is in the Shadowthieves Guildhall on the first floor. Him you can kill. IIRC, the assassin with the killsword only arrives if you try to kill Aran Linvale (sp?) while you are working for him and not Bodhi.

Renal Bloodscalp is on the top floor. You can kill any of them if you're working for Bhodi without the assassin showing up (unless you have a bug), but you cannot attack any shadow thief if you are working for them, or have not yet paid off anyone.

    [Shadow Thieves, not Bhodi]

[IMG] I guess I should have provided more information, so here is some background on my game thus far. I am playing a Half-Elvin Blade-Bard; my party consists of my PC, Jaheira, and Yoshimo.
We escaped from Irenicus' Dungeon, sold the loot from said dungeon at some shops in Waukeens Promenade then headed to the slums.
Upon reaching the Slums District we were approached by Gaylan Bael Knowing more about my plight than I thought he should so soon after my loosing Imoen. He offers help in exchange for 20k gold pieces.
After leaving the Slums we went to the Docks District. When we entered the area
Yoshimo says he needs to see Renal Bloodscalp. We accept Renal’s job to investigate MaeVar. After this quest we were approached by Valen followed closely by Gaylan Bael’s little snot of a nephew both biding us to visit their perspective bosses.
We returned to the slums where we entered the Copper Coronet to rest until nightfall
So as to meet Valen’s Mistress. While in the Copper Coronet we freed Hendak and the slaves, rescued the children held at the boathouse and investigated the sewers. After a short rest we met bohdi at the Graveyard District and accepted her offer of help for 15k gold pieces. Our first mission was to intercept the shipment at the docks. Our second mission was to rescue an informant from the Thieves Guild. Our third mission was to kill Aran Linvail.
In all our fighting in and around the Thieves Guild, I have not seen Renal Bloodscalp
Since the MaeVar quest. I assumed he could be killed after the MaeVar quest, but
Every time I tried Arkanis Gath gave us the goodbye wave of death.
So,does Renal Bloodscalp disappear from the game After you do the MaeVar quest?

I think Bloodscalp disappears after you accept Bodhi's help. I never got to kill him either.

I don't think you're suppost to kill him for some reason or another.

If you really want to kill him, you might be able to summon one in from the console and beat it up, but that's probably not what you were after. I did get the chance to kill him in my game, guess it might be a bug.

    I started a new game with a 1/2Orc Fighter.
I skipped the MaeVar quest and sided with Bohdi.
When I went to the Docks District to perform Bohdi’s
First task I swung by the Thieves Guild to give Renal a
Dose of Whupass but alas he is not to be found once again.
So, if anyone on the boards can provide the scenario in which
Renal Bloodscalp can be provoked and confronted, confirm
That I am experiencing a bug, or confirm in a positive manner that
Renal Bloodscalp cannot be fought with I would appreciate it.
The reason I wish to battle Renal Bloodscalp is because, when
You first encounter him he tries to belittle your PC remarking that
He expected someone much larger and so on.
His whole attitude rubs me the wrong way and I want to give him
    An attitude adjustment.
