Kangaxx (spelling??)

I´m not sure about the spelling but I think you know what I mean: The golden skull you habe to seek his body for. Finally I found all the pieces (those undead guards really sucked) and brought it back to him. It was not a big surprise that he´s evil....i mean every time I touched one of his bones my character almost had to throw up because of the evil feeling. Nevertheless it was a surprise how strong he is. I killed him and suddenly he said something like: "that´s exactly what i wanted...know you´ll see my real power!" Then this skull is flying round and kills me within seconds.
So here are my questions:
1)Is he beatable or is this quest made to show me not to help evil skulls? *g*

2) is it worth it?

3) any strageties to kill this A**hole?

 

I must shamefully confess I never killed this scourge of evil b4.. without resorting to lame cheap-ass tactics i mean.. maybe its coz I took him on pretty early and spent nearly 4 or 5 hours trying all kind of strats on him... I had only 1 +5 weapon and well.. the imprisonment spell was just a pain...

solutions? use the search function and ull see that there are many threads pertaining to the crushing of this big bad ass....

 

Basicly use
+4 weapons or more Be sure to be hasted and hit fast. Cloak of the stars from the Sphere is great. Produces +5 darts.

2nd scroll of prot. Vs. Magic is great.

3rd. Pray that You have a Barbarian in Your group. Immune to Imprisonment.

So where can I find such powerful weapons? (+5)...all I have is this talking two-handed sword and the flail I found in the deÁrnise-castle...oh and of course the crossbow with the giants-hair and a shor-bow +3 which doesn´t use arrows.

 

SPOILERS IN THIS:1

Ribald Barteman (adventurer's mart) sells a +4 staff and the Warblade. Else You can cast the spell Mordenkainen's sword, or use it as a scroll. I can try and load the game and find a store that has them for You If You are in dire straits.

IMPORTANT EDITED HERE:The +5 dart-making cloak is in the temple ruins north of Umar hills. Umar Hills can be activated by a boy in Government district.

AARRRRRRRRG I have to Double post as You might not notice this else. The Cloak is in:

Many of us experienced that fire elementals are very effective against Kangaxx. They do 4-6 damage and 1d6 fire damage per hit to him.

That's my way to beat the demilich:

Buy two scrolls of protection from magic at the Adventurer's Markt

Summon one or two fire elementals(Jaheira can do this early in the game at level 11)

Kill Kangaxx's lich form(not easy!)

Cast protection from magic to the elementals

Get out of Kangaxx's sight and let the elems finish him.

Kangaxx's magic is ineffective against the protected elementals so there is no danger.

...But...it's not true roleplaying either...

 

rush the lich form with your warriors as soon as he is up, just pummel him before he turns red, and you'll have him half.
When he turns to the demilich run away, cast spell immunity(abjuration) and place your mage closest to him. Use the ring of the ram, and have somebody hit him with high level weapons from behind the mage. Everybody should be hasted and boosted with magics as available

 

Use the protection from magic-scroll with a improved-hasted fighter with +4 or +5 weapon, let him do mellee attack on Kangaxx alone and another NPC can use the cloak of the stars... that's it.
