    apart from the obvious characters from bg1 in bg2, which other chaharacters turn up?

    calahan from ulgoth's beard in spellhold harbour
    tiax in spellhold
    dradeel in spellhold
    ajantis dead in windspear hills
    quayle in walkeen's promenade circus
    neb from flaming fist prison in bridge district
    coren & safana in the woods
    khalid dead on table in irenicus' dungeon
    garrick in temple district
    silly female druid in the druid grove
    xan gets a mention in icewind dale
    tazok in temple ruins near windspear hills

    any others?

    What exactly are You looking for?

    You obviously doesn't want to mention the character's who can join.

    If this is of pure curiosity I can mention that from what I read on this site, Even elminster pops up in the HArpers/Jaheira intrigues.

    And Of Course: Why didn't You mention Drizzt? He is a Natural :D

    I really don't think Neeber and Noober is one and the same. Perhaps twins that got seperated from birth. Even though there isn't any conclusive data that genes affects Your behaviour so dramatic as this example. (look at my profile for evidence) :p

    i mean the minor characters (not the npc's who can join your party or drizzt since he's a pompous self-righteous bore) that turn up throughout the game.

    I think You two confuse Xan and Xar don't Ya ;) Or am I all babbling again?

    No Xan in BG2
    Xar is at the Docks district after delevering corpse to Rayeck (or whats HIS name ... :D )

    Xan wasn't in Icewind Dale (atleast not that I saw). There was a letter from his cousin or something like that.

    And BTW that stoned cleric was Branwen (in case you didn't know
