Sahuagin city/Underdark/Spoilers

OK, I was getting a little irritated at Spellhold for a bit, made it through (but didn't bet the "Horn of Silence" I heard was there and I looked everywhere). Anyway, I'm getting ready to depart after dealing with the Pirate Lord, and on to the Sahuagin city. I'm pretty excited about this. I intend to side with the Prince but eithe rkill him or pick pocket him because I need the Wave Halberd component. I also have all the Gesen Bow parts. I guess Cromwell makes both? So, what did you all do in the city? Also, when and how do I end up ion the Underdark if I didn't use the portal in Spellhold?

 

You'll get a magical rope, with which you can get down in a well (sp?), which is actually the Underdark.
At least, that's what I got, when I joined the rebels...
You can get the Gesen Bow from Cromwell, if you give him the parts and about 7000 GP, plus 1 full day to help him.
I also got that neet cloak, the cloak of mirroring, in the Sahuagin city of caverns.
It's by far the best cloak in the game, well maybe the +2 AC, saving throws is too. (Don't count the robe of Vecna, because I aint got no xtra merchants in the game!!)
That robe is very very usefull in a particular aria in the Underdark, but you'll find out....

 

Well, cool, its getting interesting again. Do I go to the Underdark from the Sag city? Also, with the Gesen bow, does it shoot lightning bolts and then they ricochet all over and hit my party or is it a straight A to B kind of deal?

 

It's astraight A to B kinda thing. Very useful - as IIRC, it's a short bow, which enables Imoen to use. Nice weapon, and your not continuosly running out of ammo. Boy am I lloking forward to the quiver of plenty in TOB

And yes, you do go from the Sahuagin city to the Underdark, it's after you start getting tonnes of loot in the Underdark that you thank the gods that you picked up the bag of holding. Or rue the day that you were born becasuse in your haste you forgot the bag of holding. All that nice equipment going to waste....

Well not that much good ecquipment and there are merchants in the underdark.
And dont you get all the stuff in the saughin city no matter what you do? Its just the monk bracers that youll have to side with ... to get

Just a little misunderstanding here I think.

Robe of Vecna is worn in the Armor site and is strictly used only by mages.

The cloak of mirroring is worn in the ....eh cloak site.

Thus the two are not competing which eachother as beeing the best cloak in the game.

 

That cloak of mirrors... I swear, equip a tough fighter with it and he could wade through the game all by himself. Jeez. My Paladin (unhacked) equipped with that cloak and Carsomyr defeated something like 12 Beholders at once, all by himself, and never even took a single point of damage. Jeez.

At the temple you can sell your stuff for extreme amounts of gold, when I got I sold all the stuff I didn't need. I think I got about 120-150K gold for it. =) I had rep 19 I think and 20 cha

 

Hey Hawkwinter, I equiped Keldorn with the cloak and Carsomyr, and he did the same thing!
Beholders and especially those darn Gauths get scared everytime when they get hit by their own harm thingy's!!
Can you find the gauntlets of crushing in the city too?

If you join the prince, you won't get any good stuff. Only that stupid rod, that can change in a mace +2 and some other stuff. But I already had better, so I sold the thing.
Sell your Wand of Wonder here (You can obtain it in the Sewers in Athkatla).
You get a lot of money from those guys there (As the guy above my topic already said). And you don't need it. You'll get 40.000 normally, so here, it would be 75.000 or something?

How do you get to sahugin city anyway? i was told you follow haverian but when i beat irenicus, nicked everything and got to where i met the captain, there is no wheel or stairs and the door upstairs is bared.

 

How did you get into Underdark?

DO NOT USE PORTAL, if you want to get underwarer.
