Some people think that Irenicus wears a mask, and Ascension proves that, they say. I cannot say if is it true.
Sword Coast is geographical term - it defines the area between Cloudpeaks mountains and the city of Baldur's Gate, IIRC. I doubt that there is such term as Amnish Coast.

IIRC it is named "Shadows of Amn" because you get to meet the darker side of Amn, Bodhi, Shadow thieves, The cowled wizards and Johnny (/me hears the SOAD song playing through his head)

Actually the Sword Coast is the coast between BaldurĀ“s Gate and big Waterdeep up north, because the white cliffs raise up from the sea like flashing swords (also the reason for the name of the big sea, Sea of Swords)
But the whole coastarea between Calisham and Icewind Dale is sometimes also called "the Sword Coast"

[IMG] The logo SoA is a head of a elf and a drow because the war within the two races is the most important in game
in ToB the most important is the essence of bhaal

[IMG] I think The Darkness pretty much grasped it.
    Good elf and Drow Elf.
    Good and Evil.

    Damn simple.

Looks to me like the two heads are Ellesime and the Matron Mother. Also...

The sword coast is the area between Baldur's Gate and Amn, not Waterdeep. I think waterdeep is by Neverwinter, isn't it?
