[IMG] The answer here is painfully simple, as it is said numerous times in the Manual:
    - Only Human characters may Dual Class, other races can Multi Class.

Basically, only a Human can change Class half-way through the game, but has to stick with his new class, and cannot level up in his old class, or use it's features until he surpasses it.

Example: Edgar is a Fighter. At level 9 he wants to be a mage, and so Dual Classes. He can do this because he has over 16 Intelligence. He becomes a level 1 Mage. When he becomes level 10 Mage, he can use his fighter abilites, but only level up in Mage.

Other races, can only Multi-Class, which is basically playing two Classes at once. So your Dwarf fighter must start the game as a Fighter/Cleric, not become a Cleric half-way through it.

    Get it now?
