Problems turning undead

Discussion in 'BG2: Shadows of Amn (Classic)' started by The Amazing Ooopah, Nov 19, 2000.

  1. [IMG] I have Aerie and Keldorn in my party, and I'm having problems turning them undead. I can click on the icon, and it gets highlighted for 1-2 seconds, and it says in the window "Aerie - turning undead", but then they just stop doing it, and it says "Aerie - stopped turning undead", or something like that. Anyone got any advice?

When you are turning undead, you can't do anything else, just click the icon and let your priest stand still; probably you had all your party members activated and let them attack a foe, that's what happens to me quite often

  3. No, that's not it, i just turn them undead and they stop, I just have them standing there.

Are you using the party AI (the lantern in the lower right)? The AI may turn it off when it decides to have the NPC do something else...

BlackThorne hit it on the head, it's the AI that interferes with 'constant' undead turning. However you can change those characters AI scripts so that they 'do nothing' and then when AI is on -they do nothing but what you instruct them to do.

I use the AI scripts constantly and change them throughout the game. I believe my battles go faster and better in SOME situations. Even if the AI scripts are causing a problem I simply turn the AI off and command things manually.
