[IMG] I bought Baldur's Gate last summer and it took me this long to have the patience to sit and play the game straight through (it took about a week from the beginning of this game) and now I'm at Sarevok, with a party of myself (Paladin), Ajantis, Minsc, Imoen, Xan, and a deceased Dynaheir. I've lost several times to Sarevok. Five, I think, each time with a different strategy than before. He tends to slash me up pretty good. Do any of you know how to beat him without a cleric, and only a party of 5?

[IMG] You need some good spells! Such as a few stinking clouds, which should take his cronies down, then a few cloudkills, should kill them, Sarevok usually lives through it though. Then just kill off Sarevok through some old fashioned combat and some spells. if you don't have spells, you're pretty much screwed! Also, you can check "Killing Sarevok" for a couple more ways.

The Egg is right, spells to tie him up while you take out his buddies are a must. Personaly, summon monster spells/wands work for me. The monsters might not be able to hurt him, but enough of them tie him up for a while and if you can get a couple of characters to him, they certainly can hurt him.Lots.

both you guys are on the $, but i found that summonig monsters, worked the best for me. from what i remember, you could summon a mess o' monsters unlike in IWD. if you combine the cloud Kill, or Stinking Cloud w/ summoning, it shouldt be too tough.

i tried to keep his boys off the screen as long as possible w/ Cloud Kill, or Stinking Cloud, and lured Sarevok out into my summoned creatures. let Saveok deal w/ them for a while while i layed into him w/ magic arrows and spells.

All you chaps are on the £, But the best way is to draw out his cronies one at a time so that you can scrot them individualy. Also, use lots of silence and dispel magic so Angleo and that other guy don't cause you to much bother
