2nd time through what class should i choose

    thats right im starting again ive reached the underwater city but i fear im nearing the end so i wanna restart ijm currently playing a half orc barbarian next time i thought a fighter thief any suggestions ?????????

    If you like playing melee combatants, you might try the other end of the fighter spectrum from barbarian. That is, monk. Monk is a great class that, around level 12, starts to become damn near superhuman in power.

    Another option, considering the paucity of good thieves in BG2, is swashbuckler. That's what I played in my first game and absolutely loved him. Put the thief skill points in trap detection and open locks first. The swashbuckler doesn't have backstab ability, so unless you're the scouting type (I'm not), don't worry about stealth points.

    If you're hellbent on a Fighter, the Kensai is pretty darn cool. Throw all your points in two-handed sword and a point or two in two-handed style, and you'll be kicking can. Hai-ya!
