I have started a rather old challenge of using a plain human fighter with stats 966666. Rather interesting so far. Anyway, would using the tomes defy the purpose of the challenge?

 

That depends if the challenge says that you have to keep the same stats all the way through the game.

Does using a nymph's cloak count as defying the challenge? After all, you will have found it by using the original stats.

 

The nymphs cloak would not count because by using it you are placing yourself at a disadvantage (not having those slots free)

 

in the end the decision´s all yours. i wouldn´t consider it bending the rules, since these tomes are embedded in the game and show me the adventurer who would deny drinking the power potion given to him by the programmers.

or how many of those barrels did we kick in might & magic 4? *g*

999999 would´ve been more accurate, hum? imo that is the average number of d&d.

 

Yeah well, the original challenge set when I was a newbie here was 966666. I don't think I'll use them. This guy would be a tank if he wasn't always encumbered

 

How could you possibly get your stats so high?

Strength 9
And the rest are 6
