A few questions about The Purifier

    Do you need to be Lawful Good to aquire the Purifier? I want to play a solo Wizard Slayer/Thief and don't know if I'll ever be able to get it since I won't be Lawful Good.

    Does it set your MR to 20, or does it add 20 to your MR? If it actually adds 20%, this weapon will be better than Carsomyr for me.

    Actually, being LG prevents you from getting ADHW cast on you from the pillar.

    The person to grab the sword has to be LG, and you won't get hit with the ADHW as long as you're not evil. NG, CG, and all G/E neutrals just get a 'The rock is solid. You can do nothing to it.' message.

    And the Purifier adds, while Carsomyr sets, so yes it would be better for you, but you can't get it unless you SK your alignment or get the sword some other way (CLUA/SK).

    Is it not paladin-only, though? A wizard wouldn't be able to wield it anyway.

    I am planning out a Wizard Slayer who dual classes to Thief. Use Any Item will allow me to, well, use any item. ;) :)
