1. I noticed a lot of shadow thieves used something called rapture of the father in spellhold. what is that?

2. Why did Aerie get only 3 in INT all of a sudden? she cant learn spells any longer! Is that why she cant learn spells btw?

3. Where do i find the rest of the wave halberd? i have the hilt i think.

4. I have found a broken weapon somewhere that apparently is all that remains of an enchanted weapon. what do i do with it? Cromwell don't mention it at all. I have had it quite a while now to, cant remember where i found it

1. Actually, Jon is using this spell to help him stealing your soul. It's a horrible scene in the game, that makes it inappropriate for children and retards.
2. Probably, she's victim of a spell. I suppose the 3 is in red? Dispell magic should work.
3. The rebel prince in the shark city holds the other part.
4. If Cromwell can't identify this, I can't either.

 

2. She might have been hit by a Feeblemind spell or had an unfortunate encounter with a Mind Flayer. Both of these will disappear after resting.

Another possibility is a cursed weapon. There is a ring in the game, which when worn, drops intelligence to a tiny level.

4. Where did you find the broken weapon? Irenicus' Dungeon? A few things in his dungeon refer to the first Baldur's Gate. The doppleganger in the cell is (assumingly) one of Sarevok's allies that attempted to take control of the Baldur's Gate government. The broken weapon is how many weapons turned out after Sarevok's men tainted the metal supplies.

 

4. To clarify - it's useless. Get rid of it.

 

All it is is a broken +1 weapon. It can't be fixed (althought I don't know why you'd want to).

 

4. that item is just a remnant of enchant weapon. If you use this spell and the time expires the magical weapon will be replaced with the broken sword. As Splunge said it's useless.

That spell isn't in the game.

As was already said, the sword is worthless.

Rapture of the Father is the spell that Irenicus uses to kill all the Shadow Thieves in the tubes and knock the PC out. You can't get it, and you won't have it used against you in any fight, so don't worry about it.

The 3 int is why she can't learn new spells. Try using dispel magic and/or remove curse on her. One of those should do the trick.

 

hmm. Aeries INT dont show up in red, but i can try a remove curse spell on her. Resting dont help, i've run around with low INT for weeks in the game now.. and i dont think she have any rings either, she has two wizards rings that increase the amount of mage spells. Two different rings, dont remember the names though.
And Cernd is at lv 14, but still cant challenge at the druid grove. I could have checked a walkthrough, but id just end up reading all of it.. A sickness of mine

 

In spite of the fact that Cernd is 14th level, he cannot challenge for leadership of the Druid Grove. That is the Druid Stronghold and intended to be for the PC.

 

Hmm, Why do I get the feeling that Aerie was feebleminded? I don't think I've ever seen an enemy use that, so unless you've got a mod, that isn't likely.

 

well, actually i can remember her being feebleminded by a trap (or a gauth or shadow, thats the only enemies there i think) i think in during the unseeing eye quest, just before the bridge with all the riddles. How do i cure that if that is the problem? there is no obvious disease or spells or anything on her. I have no mods installed either..

 

Heal and Dispel Magic both cure feeblemind.
