[IMG] I was wondering if anybody out there is working on a character editor for T.o.E.E. akin to the excellent Dale Keeper's for IWD. I spoke to a gentleman (in the forum) a few months ago who said he was working on one. I lost touch and im just wondering, thanks.

I doubt it... interest in this game waned incredibly fast.

A Templekeeper would be nice, which is exactly what I was thinking the other night. But I figured the fanbase just wasn't large enough for anyone to care to make one. It works out a couple of different ways, but I think I'd still like to see one.

There's the player editor, which lets you loadup on stats and feats at the beginning of the game. And then you can hex in your experience and gold, then craft all the weapons and armour that you could ever possibly need. I went through and made everything +3 Flaming Icy Shocking Blast Mighty Cleave Holy. Whoooo-boi, does it get results. :)

[IMG] I would be interested in hex editing the game, but i have no hex editing program or experience in doing it. Any help/programs out there for a hex newbie?

There are quite a few freeware hex editors out there. Go to something like www.download.com, and get you a hex editor.

There's a guide on the net to hex editing TTOEE. What you have to do is startup the game, and make some characters, then exit out. You can use the TCE editor to change your stats, hitpoints, and feats (don't mess with your skill points). I typically give everyone 32's on their stats, and 250 hitpoints, and something around 40 feats or so. You're limited to 64 feats, and you want to stay well under that so the game doesn't crash out on you as you level up.

Then start the game, and play through the vignette, then save. Backup all your save game files. Then edit the .tfaf file.

Everyone starts out with 500 gold, so your money is THE easiest thing to edit, right off the top. You use the windows calculator to convert 500 (in base ten, decimal) over to hexadecimal. I forget what it is, but lets say it's 01fe.

    You search for the string "0000 0000 0000 0000 fe01 0000 0000 0000".

And change it to something like "EEEE 0000 EEEE 0000 EEEE 0000 EEEE 0000".

[IMG] Thanks for the feedback guys. Still, if there is anyone out there who could make an editor of T.o.E.E. like Dale Keeper let me know.
