A sad day - Luciano Pavarotti dies

    [​IMG] I have some sad news, Luciano Pavarotti has died from cancer aged 71. I didn't really get into opera, but he still was a great man, so it was a sad daY.

    i'm not a fan of opera,but he was very well known.and it does take a lot of talent to do what he did.i'm sorry for the loss

    Yes, a tragic loss. I never heard him sing in person, but a number of operas I watched in recording featured him. Don't really know much else about him though...

    It will be difficult to find the next Pavarotti, especially with the kind of singing styles that are popular with the young crowd these days...
